Empower A Woman Ministries

Empower A Woman Ministries We strengthen women with the word of God and the love of God. We love to empower vulnerable women. What you put in is what you get out.

At the moment, we predominantly sponsor women who live in the UK. As the business starts to grow, we aspire to partner with other international organisations to impact the lives of women in other countries. SMALL BUSINESS OPPORTUNITIES

Direct selling businesses account for the largest part time work and independent business opportunities in the UK. Some of the most successful businesses are AVON

, MARY KAY, HERBALIFE, USBORNE BOOKS AT HOME, KLEENEZE, PARTYLITE and there are many more. Majority of women, especially moms with young families or carers dream of having a business that is flexible with hours that fit around their commitments. The cost of childcare makes it almost impossible for mums with young kids to have a full time job. Some women who do have full time jobs often struggle to make ends meet due to financial commitments and would benefit from the opportunity to have an additional income stream. Direct selling businesses provide an opportunity for women who are passionate about their success to start a small business. There are so many benefits of having a direct selling business :
- You can be your own boss
- You can work hours that suit your commitments and lifestyle.
- It is easy to start up and set up
The company will provide you with all the training and support you need so there is usually no experience required
There are various products to market, so you can choose a business that suits you. You can grow the business to become very successful if you out in the time and effort required. For more details, please visit the Direct Selling Association which is the regulatory body for all direct selling businesses. On their website, you will find a lot of useful information www.dsa.org.uk
Or do you have a unique small business idea? We would love to hear it, we may just be able to make that dream come true. ADULT EDUCATION AND TRAINING

Most Counties in the UK have organisations that provide adult education training. These organisations would usually work in partnership with the councils to provide relevant courses at subsidised rates. The organisations should provide learning opportunities in line with the objectives defined by the Department of Business Innovation and Skills New Challenges, New Chances (2011)
The organisations would work with the local communities across the county to provide a wide range of courses and make them accessible to as many adults taking into consideration things like location, timing and price. Some examples of the type courses provided are
Arts - Illustration, Painting, Art History, Sculpture
Craft - Baking, Cookery, Interior Design, Embroidery
Health and Fitness - Massage, Yoga, Fitness Instructing, Sport
General Studies - Business Management, Film Studies, Creative Writing
Business - Childcare, Book Keeping and Accounts, MS Office Applications
There are also a wide range of beauty courses - Waxing, Nails, Hair and Make Up

For a more comprehensive list, please visit your county's adult education website. If you live in Kent, visit www.kentadulteducation.co.uk for more details on Adult Education and

WELCOME TO A NEW MONTH!

This month, we choose to worship. We choose to praise. We choose to lift our eyes above our circumstances and fix them on the One who is worthy of it all.

There is always a reason to praise God. For His faithfulness, His goodness, His unfailing love, and for every blessing we see and even those we do not yet see.

May this be a month where worship becomes more than a song we sing, but a lifestyle we live. May our hearts continually return to God in gratitude, surrender and praise.

As we step into this new month, may we experience God in deeper ways and have countless reasons to say, “Lord, You are worthy!”

As followers of Christ, we are called to live differently. 1 Peter 2:11 reminds us to keep away from worldly desires that wage war against our souls. Not everything the world offers is worth pursuing. Choose holiness. Choose Christ.

Battling Anxiety? Here are 5 VERSES to help you

1. Philippians 4:6–7
“Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”

Application:
Name what is worrying you instead of allowing it to circulate endlessly in your mind. Pray specifically about it. Write down what you can control, take the necessary action, and deliberately give what you cannot control to God.

2. 1 Peter 5:7
“Cast all your anxiety on Him because He cares for you.”

Application:
You were never designed to carry every possible outcome in your head. Tell God exactly what you are afraid of. When the worry returns, give it back to Him again.

3. Isaiah 41:10
“So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.”

Application:
Anxiety often makes you feel as though everything depends on you. It does not. Ask for help where you need it, take one step at a time, and remind yourself that God is present even when you cannot see the outcome.

4. Psalm 56:3–4
“When I am afraid, I put my trust in you. In God, whose word I praise, in God I trust and am not afraid. What can mere mortals do to me?”

Application:
The Bible does not pretend fear never happens. The response is to redirect fear towards trust. When your mind starts predicting the worst, interrupt the thought and return to what you actually know to be true.

5. Matthew 6:34
“Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.”

Application:
Do not live Thursday’s problems on Monday. Deal with what requires your attention today. Make the call, attend the appointment, complete the task, say the prayer. Tomorrow can be dealt with when it arrives.

As we step into this week, may we remember that our lives are not accidents, and neither are the purposes God has placed within us.

Ephesians 2:10 tells us that we are God’s workmanship. There is intention behind who He created you to be. Your gifts, your story, your experiences, and even the seasons that have shaped you can become part of the work He has prepared for you.

Sometimes we spend so much time comparing our journey with someone else’s that we overlook what God is doing in our own lives. But you were not created to imitate another person’s assignment. There are good works prepared specifically for you to walk in.

You may not see the whole picture yet, but you do not need to. Your responsibility is to keep walking with God, remain available, and be faithful with what He places before you.

This week, remember who you are and why you were created. You are God’s workmanship, and your life carries purpose. There is still work He has prepared for you to do.

Do you need comfort? Here are 5 VERSES

1. Psalm 34:18
“The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.”

Application: Pain can make God feel distant, but feeling alone and being alone are different things. You do not have to perform strength for God. Tell Him where it hurts and allow trusted people to support you too.

2. Psalm 147:3
“He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds.”

Application: Healing is often gradual. Give yourself permission to recover without demanding that you should be “over it” by now. Pray, rest, talk, grieve and seek appropriate support when you need it.

3. 2 Corinthians 1:3–4
“Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves receive from God.”

Application: God can meet you in the very place that hurts. What you are walking through may eventually become a place from which you understand, strengthen and comfort somebody else.

4. Isaiah 43:2
“When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and when you pass through the rivers, they will not sweep over you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned; the flames will not set you ablaze.”

Application: Some prayers are answered by deliverance from difficulty; others are answered by grace to walk through it. If the situation has not changed yet, ask God for what you need to get through today.

5. Matthew 11:28–30
“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.”

Application: Sometimes you need more than sleep because it is your soul that is tired. Reduce unnecessary demands, step away from constant noise, and intentionally make space to pray, rest and receive from God.

Save this post for the days you need a little comfort, and share it with someone who might need it today.

10 KEY SCRIPTURES EVERY CHRISTIAN SHOULD PRAY

1. For God’s Will
“Your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.”
Matthew 6:10
Pray: Father, let Your will be done in my life. May my desires, decisions and plans align with Your purposes.

2. For Wisdom
“If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault.”
James 1:5
Pray: Lord, give me wisdom for every decision I face. Help me to discern what is right and walk in Your counsel.

3. For a Pure Heart
“Create in me a pure heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within me.”
Psalm 51:10
Pray: Lord, search my heart. Purify my motives, renew my spirit and remove anything in me that does not please You.

4. For Direction
“Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.”
Proverbs 3:5–6
Pray: Father, direct my steps. Keep me from relying solely on what I can see or understand. Lead me in the way I should go.

5. For Spiritual Understanding
“I keep asking that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ… may give you the Spirit of wisdom and revelation, so that you may know him better.”
Ephesians 1:17
Pray: Lord, give me wisdom and revelation. Open my spiritual eyes and deepen my knowledge and understanding of You.

6. For Strength
“I can do all this through him who gives me strength.”
Philippians 4:13
Pray: Jesus, strengthen me for everything You have called me to face and accomplish. Where I am weak, let Your strength sustain me.

7. For Protection
“Whoever dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty.”
Psalm 91:1
Pray: Father, let me and my household dwell under Your covering. Protect us from danger, evil and every scheme of the enemy.

8. For Peace
“Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.”
Philippians 4:6–7
Pray: Lord, I give You every worry and burden. Guard my heart and mind with Your peace, even when circumstances are uncertain.

9. For Fruitfulness
“If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit.”
John 15:5
Pray: Jesus, keep me abiding in You. Let my life bear lasting fruit that brings glory to Your name and blesses others.

10. For God’s Purpose to Be Fulfilled
“The Lord will fulfil his purpose for me.”
Psalm 138:8
Pray: Father, fulfil Your purpose concerning my life. Complete what You have begun in me and let nothing hinder what You have ordained.

As we step into this week, may we become intentional about what we allow to occupy our minds.

Philippians 4:8 reminds us that our thoughts are not insignificant. What we repeatedly dwell on begins to shape our perspective, our emotions, our decisions, and ultimately the way we live. In a world that constantly gives us reasons to fear, worry, compare, and become discouraged, Scripture calls us to choose what deserves our attention.

This does not mean ignoring reality or pretending that difficult things do not exist. It means refusing to let what is negative become the loudest voice in our minds. There is always something true to hold onto, something good to remember, something beautiful to appreciate, and something worthy of praise.

This week, guard your mind. Be intentional about what you feed it. When your thoughts begin to wander toward fear or negativity, bring them back to what is true, noble, pure, lovely, and praiseworthy.

What fills your mind will eventually influence your life. Choose what you dwell on wisely.

Are you in a season of waiting? Here are 5 VERSES to help you WAIT WELL

1. Psalm 27:14
“Wait for the Lord; be strong and take heart and wait for the Lord.”

Application: Waiting can make you question whether you heard God correctly, especially when nothing seems to be moving. Do not allow impatience to make decisions for you. Keep doing what is right, remain prayerful, and give God room to work in His timing.

2. Isaiah 40:31
“But those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.”

Application: Waiting should not leave you permanently exhausted. Keep returning to God for fresh strength. Rest when you need to, maintain healthy routines, and continue with the responsibilities already in your hands.

3. Habakkuk 2:3
“For the revelation awaits an appointed time; it speaks of the end and will not prove false. Though it linger, wait for it; it will certainly come and will not delay.”

Application: A delay does not automatically mean a denial. Resist the temptation to force an outcome simply because you are tired of waiting. Some things genuinely require time.

4. Lamentations 3:25–26
“The Lord is good to those whose hope is in him, to the one who seeks him; it is good to wait quietly for the salvation of the Lord.”

Application: Do not spend the entire waiting season obsessing over what has not happened. Seek God, develop yourself, enjoy your life, serve others and remain present. There is still life to be lived while you wait.

5. Psalm 130:5
“I wait for the Lord, my whole being waits, and in his word I put my hope.”

Application: Be careful what you build your expectations on. People can change their minds and circumstances can change overnight. Let God’s Word steady you when everything else feels uncertain.

As we step into this week, may we rest in the comfort of knowing that we are watched over by a God who never sleeps.

Psalm 121:3–4 gives us a beautiful picture of God’s constant care. There is never a moment when His attention leaves us. While we sleep, He watches. While we are unaware of what is happening around us, He remains fully aware. When we cannot see what lies ahead, He is already there.

What a comfort it is to know that our security does not depend on our ability to foresee every danger, control every outcome, or hold everything together. The God who watches over us does not grow tired, distracted, or overwhelmed.

So this week, release the burden of trying to keep watch over everything yourself. Trust the God who never sleeps. He is guarding your steps, holding you steady, and watching over you in every moment. You can rest, because the God who keeps you is always awake.
