Chequer Tree Camp

Chequer Tree Camp Chequer Tree Camp is a Christian summer camp, led by The Family Trust and a wonderful team of volunteers. Chequer Tree Camp is run by The Family Trust.

Chequer Tree Camp began in 1987 when a group of local Christians got together to provide a children's camp with a Christian ethos. Over the years, camp has grown and develop

ed into what it is today. We currently meet at Boughton Monchelsea Primary School on the outskirts of Maidstone for two weeks during the summer holidays. The majority of children who attend camp are from Kent and some from further afield. The Family Trust is a Christian charity based in Maidstone, Medway and Swale, working in local primary schools to promote the Christian faith. Many of the children who attend camp have got to know us through assemblies and school clubs run by The Family Trust. While Chequer Tree Camp is a Christian camp, all children are welcome of all faiths or none and you will find children from a wide range of backgrounds. All the staff and volunteers who work with us do so because they love working with children. We do everything we can to make sure your child has the very best camp experience. THAT'S A WRAP FOR CHEQUER TREE CAMP 2026!!

What an incredible week it has been! It's an absolute blessing seeing so many children come together to learn more about Jesus and what the bible teaches us. And despite the heat, everyone had an amazing time!
The Holy Spirit was 100% moving throughout the week!! ❤️

Once again, a HUGE thank you to for allowing us to use their space throughout the week. And a MASSIVE thank you to all our volunteers for taking time out of their own lives to teach and inspire our campers in their own Christian journey. Their energy and enthusiasm has been incredible all week 🎉

Most of our team are now signed off for the summer, but COME BACK IN SEPTEMBER FOR PHOTO FLASHBACKS!

Are you ready for CHEQUER TREE CAMP 2026?? 🎉🎉

TODAY IS THE DAY!! All areas are set up and our team are ready for the arrival our campers this morning.

We would like to take this opportunity to say a massive thank you to St Luke's Church Maidstone for allowing us to use their space for camp. And a huge thank you to all our volunteers who have taking time out of their own lives to encourage and inspire our campers to explore Christianity.

Please pray for everyone at CTC 2026. Pray for our volunteers and our campers. That the Holy Spirit shines through on them this week as they learn more about God and His unconditional love for us.
