Chequer Tree Camp

Chequer Tree Camp Chequer Tree Camp is a Christian summer camp, led by The Family Trust and a wonderful team of volunteers. Chequer Tree Camp is run by The Family Trust.

CTC is for children in school years 4-7 and it’s a week of fun, games, opportunities to make new friends and to learn about the Christian faith. Visit our YouTube page: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCD4Ta_mZgc8i4x7cpX-Ll9w

Chequer Tree Camp began in 1987 when a group of local Christians got together to provide a children's camp with a Christian ethos. Over the years, camp has grown and develop

ed into what it is today. We currently meet at Boughton Monchelsea Primary School on the outskirts of Maidstone for two weeks during the summer holidays. The majority of children who attend camp are from Kent and some from further afield. The Family Trust is a Christian charity based in Maidstone, Medway and Swale, working in local primary schools to promote the Christian faith. Many of the children who attend camp have got to know us through assemblies and school clubs run by The Family Trust. While Chequer Tree Camp is a Christian camp, all children are welcome of all faiths or none and you will find children from a wide range of backgrounds. All the staff and volunteers who work with us do so because they love working with children. We do everything we can to make sure your child has the very best camp experience. If you have any further questions please get in touch we would love to hear from you.

It’s National Volunteers Week!

This week is dedicated to our volunteers, who put in so much effort and energy during CTC week to make it memorable for our campers.

This week, we will be hearing stories from a selection of volunteers about their journey at CTC. First up is Sarah!

We want to say a massive THANK YOU to all our wonderful volunteers for their time, energy, and dedication. Thank you for encouraging the campers in their faith journeys. Without each and every one of you, camp wouldn’t be what it is today. You have been instrumental in planting so many seeds in the campers’ hearts, which we have seen grow into a desire to know more about Jesus.
