For 45-year-old Idan, the sea has always been his favourite place.
Diagnosed with a brain tumour at just eight years old, Idan's condition has deteriorated over the years, leaving him unable to hear or speak.
Since his diagnosis, he had only visited the sea once, as his mum was unable to physically get him into the water.
A year ago, Home by the Sea launched a programme giving families of people with disabilities the opportunity to enjoy the sea together, with the support of dedicated volunteers.
When Idan's mum called to explain that he had been given just two months to live, she shared his one wish: to return to the sea.

Home by the Sea helped make that wish come true. 💙

At Myisrael, our support goes beyond funding. We work alongside the leaders of the charities we support, helping them navigate challenges, strengthen their organisations and plan for the future.

Susan’s House is just one of our charities we support beyond funding. Through practical mentoring we help projects grow stronger and create lasting impact.

We work together with Avital, the CEO of Susan's House, to work through practical challenges including budgeting, staffing, marketing and strategy which in turn helps him to build a stronger foundation for the charity’s vital work.

Because when we invest in the people behind a charity, we help build its capacity to make a lasting difference.

Football sessions for at-risk young people, therapeutic activities for families affected by trauma, support for homeless men and women and opportunities for children facing difficult circumstances. ❤️

These are just some of the ways our wonderful fundraisers have made a difference recently.

From birthday celebrations and Bar Mitzvah hikes to fun runs, bridge tournaments and creative fundraising ideas, every effort has helped provide meaningful support to people facing real challenges.

Atufot is a place of transformation, where women receive emotional care, holistic therapies and connection.

On 7th October, Orna lost her 27-year-old son, Amir, who was killed defending their kibbutz.

Orna returned home, struggling with grief and trauma. Atufot became her lifeline. Through a range of therapies and the supportive community of women who understood her pain, she slowly found the strength to move forward.

It’s hard to believe that three years have passed since October 7th - the darkest day in Israel’s history that changed so many of us forever.

Today, we remember all those so brutally taken from us, and every person living with the scars of that day and its aftermath.

Myisrael is proud to support so many people living with bereavement, trauma and physical injury on their path to recovery.

We step outside our homes and into the sukkah, sharing meals, welcoming guests and remembering that so much of what we have is a gift.
