💚 Thank you to the team at Ed Space IOM for joining us on patrol today.

Based in the Isle of Man, Ed Space is helping more people understand that it’s okay not to be okay. Their work encourages open, honest conversations about how we’re really feeling.

Together, we’re helping to make conversations about mental health more open and accessible.

It was a pleasure to have them with us.

Thanks to our partner, the RNLI, we had the honor of meeting the Prince and Princess of Wales yesterday.

The Prince has championed the importance of talking about mental health and su***de. It was a privilege to talk to him and the Princess about our work. 💚

💚 We’re hiring! 💚

Behind every Bridge Watch patrol is careful coordination, compassion, and community partnership. As we expand our support across London, we’re looking for an Administrative Assistant to help keep everything running smoothly.

This role is vital in organising patrols, supporting volunteers, and liaising with partners — helping us be there for those who need us most.

Earlier this week, the Port of London Authority joined us on patrol to see firsthand the work our volunteers do to keep people safe from su***de.

👉 Charlotte, part of the PLA team said:

“Throughout the evening, fellow volunteers made us feel welcome, and it was a great chance to meet people from all walks of life, each with their own reasons for joining Bridge Watch. Some had only volunteered a few times, others for many years.

“I’d encourage anyone to join a patrol if they have the chance, they are an amazing charity, and it was a privilege to help and support their important work.”

🙋”What does a Bridge Watch shift look like?”

📧 All volunteers send us their availability each month, then we pair them with another volunteer (or two) at a time that suits them.

⏰ We patrol morning, noon and night, whenever we can.

🗣️ If we identify someone in distress, a member of the patrol will approach them. The second volunteer ensures the safety of the other, and of the people around us.

👥 All our volunteers are trained on how to identify and help people in distress, keeping them safe for now.
