Harrow Club

Since 1883, the Harrow Club has been anchored in the local community, working with young people to address needs related to disadvantage and poverty.

The Harrow Club works with some of the most marginalised young people in West London to provide accessible and high-quality opportunities, enabling them to maximise their life chances and to enhance their personal development. Roughly a decade ago, the Harrow Club acquired three satellite clubs in White City, Sands End and Old Oak.

🎧 A brilliant day at BBC Radio 1Xtra!

Our young people were invited behind the scenes for a tour of the studios and had the opportunity to meet two members of the legendary Rampage sound system.

They learned about the origins of Rampage at Notting Hill Carnival, the meaning behind the name and how their journey began. To top it all off, they stepped into one of the actual radio studios and tried out some mixing techniques themselves! 🎚️🔥

A brilliant session at Harrow Club with Laura as part of our employability workshops, supported by the The Mayor's Fund for London

Laura led an inspiring session encouraging our young people to think about their future goals, recognise their potential and explore the opportunities in front of them.

Last week, our young people had the opportunity to take part in a CV workshop at Soho Works, helping them build confidence, strengthen their CVs and prepare for the next step in their careers.

A huge thank you to Soho Works for generously hosting us and providing such an inspiring space for the session. We’d also like to thank Nabeelah from Savills for bringing us together and helping us with opportunities for young people.

Partnerships like these help open doors and give our young people the confidence and skills to take the next step.

Wood, creativity, and opportunity.

This exhibition is a chance to see the skills they’ve developed, hear about their journey, and celebrate the hard work, confidence, and creativity they’ve built along the way.

Tomorrow , we pause to remember the 72 lives lost in the Grenfell Tower fire.

We remember the families, friends and neighbours who continue to carry that loss every day. We honour the strength of a community that came together in the face of unimaginable tragedy and has never stopped fighting for justice, accountability and change.

As an organisation working with young people and families in West London, we recognise the lasting impact Grenfell has had on our community and the importance of ensuring those affected are never forgotten.

What does On Track really do?

It helps young people navigate one of the biggest transitions in their lives.

Starting secondary school can be exciting, but it can also bring new pressures, challenges and uncertainty.

Through trusted mentors, positive activities, hot meals, safe journeys home and a place to belong, On Track supports Year 7 pupils when they need it most.

The impact isn’t always dramatic.

Sometimes it’s a young person finding their confidence.
Making a new friend.
Joining in for the first time.
Feeling seen, valued and supported.

These small moments can change the direction of a young person’s future.

We’re raising £50,000 to unlock a further £50,000 in matched funding through The Childhood Trust’s Champions for Children campaign.

Every donation made between 2-16 June will be doubled, helping us support even more young people to stay on track.

From today until 16 June, every donation made through The Childhood Trust’s Champions for Children campaign to support The Harrow Club’s On Track programme will be matched.

That means:

We’re aiming to raise £50,000 and unlock a further £50,000 in matched funding to support Year 7 pupils at risk of exclusion.

On Track provides mentoring, positive activities, hot meals and safe transport home for young people who need support at a critical stage of their lives.

One Year 7 pupil arrived at On Track barely speaking to anyone. Weeks later, they were helping lead warm-ups for younger students and staying behind to ask how they could volunteer more often.

It may not seem like much.

But behind that change sits confidence, routine, trusted adults and the feeling that somebody notices when you’re struggling.

This is what support looks like before problems become crises.

Last week, we were delighted to welcome a team of volunteers from Westfield to The Harrow Club.
Across two volunteering days, the team made a significant difference to our spaces, from improving the front of our building through gardening and maintenance work, to clearing and reorganising our dark room so it can once again be properly used.
These changes may seem practical, but they have a lasting impact. Well maintained, welcoming and functional spaces play an important role in creating positive environments for the young people and families we support.
Corporate volunteering partnerships like this provide invaluable support and demonstrate a shared commitment to investing in local communities.
A sincere thank you to everyone involved for your energy, hard work and generosity with your time. Your contribution will continue to make a difference long after the volunteering days ended.

What a weekend.

The Harrow Club was proud to host the inaugural Notting Hill Literary Festival across two incredible days of conversation, culture, storytelling and connection.

From discussions around youth justice, identity, belonging, mental health, literature, community and culture, it was inspiring to see so many voices, perspectives and experiences shared under one roof.

A huge thank you to all of the authors, speakers, hosts, organisers, volunteers, partners and attendees who helped make the festival such a special event. The energy, insight and support throughout the weekend was genuinely felt.

We’d also like to thank everyone who worked tirelessly behind the scenes to help bring the vision to life. Events like this only happen through collaboration, community spirit and collective effort.

We’re proud to have opened our doors for conversations that matter and look forward to seeing this continue to grow in the years ahead.
