Tea poured. Cake shared. Time to talk. ☕🍰

Our YMCA England & Wales team came together for an office Tea Talk as part of our Small Talks campaign, taking a break to catch up and make time for one another. 💬

Talking about how we feel isn’t always easy. Making space for a conversation, and being ready to listen, is something we can all do.

You don’t need to have all the answers. Start with “How are you?” and give yourself time to hear the reply. 💜

Looking sharp, Dan.

Dan, a YMCA Youth Ambassador from YMCA Cornwall, has been suit shopping with his Housing Support Officer ahead of a special occasion: attending the Remembrance Sunday commemorations at the Cenotaph in London.

YMCA will be there to honour the service and sacrifice of members of the Armed Forces, and to remember the YMCA civilian workers and volunteers who dedicated themselves to supporting others during wartime.

With the support of the local community, Dan is ready to play his part in this moment of remembrance. We’re proud to see him taking part.

Small Talks can make a big difference.

From Tea Talks to Bake Offs, YMCAs across England and Wales are finding creative ways to get people talking about their mental health.

Since 2021, more than 50 YMCAs have taken part in Small Talks.

A positive step for young people in supported housing. 🏠💙

From this week, new Housing Benefit rules come into force, meaning young people can keep more of what they earn when they start work or increase their hours.

We welcome this change. It could give more young people the confidence to take up work, earn more and build their independence. 🙌

But there's still more to do.

Young people should be better off when they work more — and have a clear pathway towards independent living.

A massive well done to the 10 incredible runners who took on the Cardiff Half Marathon! 🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️👏

After 13.1 miles, the team crossed the finish line with some amazing support from friends, family and the wider YMCA community cheering them on every step of the way. 💙

Together, they’ve raised more than £8,000 to help create safe, welcoming spaces where young people can meet, connect and have fun. 🫶

A huge thank you to everyone who ran, donated, cheered and supported the team.

What an achievement! 🙌
