Supporters and guests gathered at St Paul's Cathedral to celebrate YMCA Founder’s Day, reflecting on the remarkable legacy of our founder and the impact YMCA continues to have on young people today.

Guests heard inspiring stories from Youth Ambassadors Siana and Seb, who have had their lives transformed through YMCA, explored the history of our movement, and reflected on how gifts in Wills can help future generations build strong foundations for life.

We were delighted to welcome YMCA parliamentary patrons and local YMCA leaders to Parliament for a special event focused on supporting young people and strengthening communities.

With 38 parliamentary patrons across the House of Commons and House of Lords, YMCA has strong support from representatives across political parties who champion the issues affecting young people in their constituencies.

The evening provided an opportunity for MPs to hear directly from local YMCA CEOs about the impact being made in communities across England and Wales, from housing and homelessness support to youth services and wellbeing programmes.

Our CEO and National Secretary, Denise Hatton, also shared YMCA’s ambition to create 10,000 genuinely affordable and supported homes for young people, highlighting both the opportunities and challenges facing the sector.

Community partnerships make a real difference.

A huge thank you to The Cornish Oven for donating more than 50 pasties to young people at YMCA Cornwall and for taking the time to learn more about the support YMCA provides.

Pride is about celebrating who you are, feeling a sense of belonging, and standing together as a community.

We loved seeing the team from YMCA Cardiff Group supporting Cardiff Pride this weekend and helping create a positive, welcoming space for everyone. 🏳️‍🌈

At YMCA, we believe every young person should feel safe, valued and empowered to be themselves. Events like Pride remind us why creating inclusive communities matters.
