Today is International Youth Day. 🌍

Nearly a million young people in the UK aren’t in work, education or training. That’s 1 in 8. And a lot of them have stopped looking.

Here’s what often gets missed: nearly half of British Muslims are under 25. 78% say their faith gives them strength when things get hard.

44% say they’d ask for mental health support sooner if the person across the desk understood that.
So the gap isn’t willingness. It’s design.

Two years ago, the UK experienced its worst racist disorder in a decade. Today, coordinated violence against Muslim communities has become the “new normal.”

We’ve put together a 5-slide breakdown looking at exactly what has, and hasn't, changed since the 2024 riots. The reality is that government support is lagging drastically behind the scale of the threat.

Recent data from Muslim Census and MEND shows that 96% of mosques are failing to secure protective security funding due to severe Home Office backlogs and narrow criteria.

Meanwhile, community hubs, schools, and major charities like Islamic Relief UK are completely excluded from the security scheme, forcing them to cancel events and close shops to protect teams.

Our communities deserve to live with freedom and security. It is time for the government to acknowledge far-right terrorism for what it is and implement a dedicated taskforce.
