Air traffic controllers fired for political motives. Will the EU still look the other way?

The ETF - European Transport Workers' Federation called on both the European Commission and the EASA - European Union Aviation Safety Agency to act after the unlawful dismissals of senior trade union leaders among Serbia’s air traffic controllers.

The two union leaders had recently led a lawful, successful strike. These dismissals, based on security clearance revocations tied to “negative opinions” from state services, strike at the heart of freedom of association and workers’ rights.
