Training is communication - and better communication means a better life for them 🐕❤️

At Jai Dog, we believe training is far more than teaching commands. Done well and consistently, it builds understanding, reduces problem behaviours, improves safety, and deepens the bond between dogs and our team who care for them each and every day.

For our shelter dogs, training is also a vital form of enrichment. It keeps them mentally stimulated, builds their confidence, and helps them learn to navigate people, other animals, and new environments calmly. All of which gives them a much better chance of finding a loving home 🐾

And every training session brings them one step closer 🏠

Exploring the essentials of dog population management and why it matters 🐾

Dog population management (DPM) is a humane, science-based approach with the purpose of improving the lives of free-roaming and community dogs and creating healthier communities. This is at the heart of what we do at Jai Dog.

Do you remember sweet little Sumo, the helpless puppy who so nearly lost his eye? 💔🐾

When we first brought him in, his eye condition was so dire that surgery seemed inevitable. Yet, against all odds, this brave little soul made a miraculous and swift recovery!

Sumo recently returned to JAI for a follow-up check-up.

He’s turned into the most delightful, round, and wonderfully chubby boy - growing bigger by the day!

Now, let’s hear a few heartwarming words from Sumo’s new family as they share what it’s like to welcome this precious pup into their lives.

Every rescue like Sumo’s comes with significant veterinary costs, and we can only continue helping dogs like him thanks to the support of people like you.

Lion’s update! a helpless sweet puppy who was rushed to us after being hit by a car. 💔🐾
Seeing him in so much pain broke all our hearts, but this brave little boy has been fighting so hard! We’re so glad to share that Lion’s condition is steadily improving. He is currently coming in for regular check-ups with our vet team to have his cast changed and his progress monitored.

After weeks of continuous treatment and love at Jai Dog, our sweet boy Mike has finally made a full recovery.

Looking back at his initial condition, it’s heart-wrenching to remember how much pain this helpless little soul had to endure. But thanks to his incredible bravery and the dedicated care of our veterinary team, his dark days are officially behind him.

Today, Mike is heading back where he truly belongs—into the loving arms of his devoted family. Sending him home happy, healthy, and whole is precisely why we do what we do. Another precious life restored, another heartwarming journey home. 🏠🐾

Following a few weeks of care and treatment Khanun's wounds have finally healed, and he's ready to start the next chapter of this life. And here's the best part: the person who first reached out to us about Khanun's situation decided to give him a forever home. He's still the same gentle, trusting dog who won us over during his treatment — just now, he gets to be that loving dog in a home of his own.

Thank you to everyone who followed his story and cheered him on. And a huge thank you to his new adopter Khun Jeed for giving him a home to match his big heart. 🐾

It’s shower time at Jai Dog! 🚿✨

Every week each of our resident shelter dogs get a lovely shower, keeping them clean, fluffy and free from parasites – this weekly ritual forms a really important part of their care routine. Our dedicated shelter team do this with plenty of love, care and attention.....even though not all our dogs are huge fans! ❤️

From playful splashes to post-bath zoomies, every shower helps keep our dogs healthy, happy, and looking their best. 🐶✨

A tiny 2-month-old puppy was rushed to Jai Dog after being tragically run over by a car. 💔🐾

He’s such a helpless little soul, and looking into his sweet, pain-filled eyes is truly heartbreaking. Our veterinary team acted immediately to stabilize him, but due to the severity of his injuries, this poor pup has a very long and difficult road to recovery ahead of him.

He will need to remain under our care and treatment at the clinic for quite some time. We cannot give up on him - but we need your help.

Please consider contributing towards his medical bills to give this brave baby a fighting chance at a pain-free life. Every single donation, no matter how small, makes a world of difference.
