🚴‍♂️This weeks : Richard!

Richard took on his 4th London to Brighton Cycle Ride this month - and his 3rd ride for The Salvation Army! 🎉

Richard tackled the challenging 55-mile ride from to the seafront and absolutely smashed it! 💪🚴‍♂️

Even better, Richard has raised over £600 to support The Salvation Army’s work in - helping provide support, warmth and companionship to people who need it most in the local community ❤️

👏 Thank you, Richard, for being such a fantastic Team Sally Army champion! We are so grateful for your support! 🚴‍♂️🎉

Four incredible fundraisers are taking on some BIG challenges this October, all in support of The Salvation Army! 🙌

🏔️ Ben is climbing Mount Kilimanjaro in , raising funds to support sustainable clean water, sanitation and hygiene projects in communities across Tanzania 💧

🏃‍♀️ Vikki & Zoe are taking on the Love Luton Run Fest, raising funds for young people’s projects including junior band, choir and discipleship groups in 🎶

🥾 Zena is trekking the Camino de Santiago in Spain, raising funds to support The Salvation Army’s refugee response in Stepney ❤️

👏 How amazing are they?! We’ll be cheering you on every step of the way. All the best Ben, Vikki, Zoe and Zena as you take on these challenges!

🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️ TEAM SALLY ARMY TAKES ON THE GREAT NORTH RUN! ❤️

On 13 September, 15 incredible participants took on the iconic ! 🎉

They challenged themselves, pushed through every mile and proudly ran for The Salvation Army, and we couldn’t be more grateful ❤️

Together, our amazing team has raised almost £8,000! 🙌 And, even better, participants have chosen to support a fantastic range of projects and communities:

🌟 This week’s is the incredible Arlo! 🌟

This past weekend, Arlo took on the Tough Mudder Spartan Kids 1.5km race - climbing, running, crawling and battling his way through mud and obstacles! 🏃‍♂️💪🪵🌧️

And what makes his achievement even more amazing? ❤️ Arlo chose to take on this challenge while fundraising for , helping to support our services for people experiencing homelessness. 🏠💙

When Arlo first set his fundraising target, he said:

💬 “I am raising money to help poor and homeless people and need your help to reach my target of £150.” Well, Arlo didn’t just reach his target, he completely smashed it! 🙌 He has raised over £200 to support The Salvation Army’s homelessness services 💙

A huge CONGRATULATIONS, Arlo! 👏 What an incredible achievement, and thank you so much for challenging yourself and to make a difference to others. ⭐

You are an absolute superstar! 🌟💙

💪 Team Sally Army takes on the ! 🏃🏼‍♀️

This weekend, a team of young adults and leaders will be taking on the Tough Mudder to raise funds for a youth mission trip to the Netherlands this October!

The trip will give young people the opportunity to share their faith through music and testimony, while also growing in confidence, friendship and faith. 🙏🎶✨

💙 This week’s is Simon! 💙

Simon took on an epic 196-mile walk from to , which he aptly named ‘The Big Salvation Army Walk’! 🥾👏

And if walking nearly 200 miles wasn’t challenge enough, Simon also set out to raise money for his local Salvation Army in along the way. Simon plays in the band and sits on the church council at Morriston Salvation Army, so this was a challenge with a very personal connection. ❤️

He set off on 19 July, making his way through Abergavenny, Ross-on-Wye, Gloucester, Oxford and Maidenhead before finally reaching London on Saturday 1 August. 🗺️🚶‍♂️

And what an incredible journey it was – Simon raised more than £3,700 to support the work of The Salvation Army in his local community! 🎉💰

🎉 Congratulations, Simon, on absolutely smashing this challenge. What an incrdible champion! 🏆💙
