Climate Yes at 4

Four years of climate action, youth leadership, and creating space for young people to lead change.

As we celebrate this milestone, we’re looking back at some of our leaders from the early days of Climate Yes and what they had to say about the movement, the work, and the change they wanted to see.

Four years on, their words still speak to the journey we’ve taken and the work that lies ahead.

Climate YES at

For the last two days, Climate YES has been part of conversations, connections, and youth-led action at the Local Conference of Youth (LCOY).

From sharing ideas to learning from young climate leaders and engaging in meaningful discussions, we’re proud to be in spaces where young people are shaping the future of climate action.

The conversations continue. The action must too.

A big thank you to partners, organisers, fellow youth leaders and everyone who continues to create spaces for young people to speak, connect, and take action for our planet. Your support makes this work possible.

Climate Youth Ecumenical Summit @4 👏👏👏

Four years ago, Climate Youth Ecumenical Summit began with a vision of bringing young Christians together to engage, learn, connect and take action for climate justice through the lens of faith, community and shared responsibility for our planet.

Four years later, that vision continues to grow through young people, country hubs, partners, advisors, volunteers and communities who continue to say YES to climate action.

As we celebrate this milestone, we are taking a moment to look back at where the journey began, remember the people who were part of those early days and celebrate the many voices that have helped shape Climate YES into the movement it is today.

From the first steps to new hubs, new connections, new ideas and continued action every person has contributed to this story.

Today, we are hearing from some of the people who have been part of the Climate YES journey from its early days.

Here’s what Rev: Aurelio Uqueio Climate YES Mozambique Advisor, has to say,

And this is only the beginning.

Happy 4th Anniversary, Climate YES! 🎉 👏

Where the river flows, life flourishes.

God’s living water brings healing, restoration, and new life even to places that seem barren. As the river grows deeper, so does its power to restore creation.

May we not only receive this living water, but enter the river and become part of God’s work of healing our world. #

Tree Planting Campaign

Climate YES Nigeria Hub, in collaboration with the Lutheran Youth Fellowship LCCN Taraba Diocese and partners, took action for our planet through a Tree Planting Campaign under the theme.

“Growing God’s Garden” - Genesis 2:8. 🌱

From planting a tree to nurturing a greener future, this initiative reminds us that caring for creation is a shared responsibility.

Every tree planted is a step toward a healthier environment, stronger communities, and a more sustainable future. 🌍💚

We don’t just speak about climate action - we grow it.

WEEKLY MESSAGE | CLIMATE YES BOTSWANA🇧🇼

This week, our National Coordinator, Belthia Omphile Tshiping, challenges us to look beyond awareness and confront the realities of climate injustice.

Ignoring a crisis doesn’t make it disappear. Sometimes, the most important step is to ask the harder questions — who is affected, who makes the decisions, and who is being held accountable?

Her message is a call to move from simply recognising the climate crisis to demanding the accountability needed to address it.

Read. Reflect. Question. Act. 🌍
