✨🥁 NEXT CLASS: Sunday 16th August 🥁✨

If you've ever wanted to try Brazilian samba, now's your chance. Join us for our Drum and Dance classes!

This Sunday (16th August) we will come together for another of our joint drumming and dance classes. Dance to a live bateria, or learn how to play samba rhythms!

Dance class will be led by LSS teacher Jiyeon (Jiyeon Yeom) who will bring her expertise as a former LSS Rainha da Bateria and current Princesa de Bateria at the Samba Festival Coburg, back to the London School of Samba.

We are excited to have Mestre Mags () with us to teach the bateria class. A previous Mestre de Bateria of LSS, Mags has been performing with us since 1991, and has taught samba in primary and elementary schools in 22 London boroughs and helped set up several London samba groups. Additionally, Mags has been the historian and archivist of the school since 1995. Join us to learn from Mestre Mags’ years of samba and teaching expertise.

If you've ever wanted to try Brazilian samba, now's your chance. Join us for our Drum and Dance classes!

This Sunday (9th August) we will come together for another of our joint drumming and dance classes. Dance to a live bateria, or learn how to play samba rhythms!

Dance class will be led by LSS teacher Jiyeon (Jiyeon Yeom) who will bring her expertise as a former LSS Rainha da Bateria and current Princesa de Bateria at the Samba Festival Coburg, back to the London School of Samba.

This Sunday (2nd August) we will come together for another of our joint drumming and dance classes. Dance to a live bateria, or learn how to play samba rhythms!

We are pleased to welcome Orquidea (Orquidea Lima) to teach the dance class. Orquidea will bring her expertise as a former LSS Rainha da Bateria and Musa back to the London School of Samba floor.

It's back! The London School of Samba Rainha Da Bateria competition is taking place on Wednesday 29th July. It's the time when our current Rainha da Bateria passes the crown on to a new wearer. Enjoy an electric night of dancing, music and fun! Doors open at 7pm with the event starting at 7:30pm.

Drinks and Brazilian snacks will be available to purchase.

If you've ever wanted to try Brazilian samba, now's your chance. Join us for our Drum and Dance classes!

This Sunday (26th July) we will come together for another of our joint drumming and dance classes. Dance to a live bateria, or learn how to play samba rhythms!

We are pleased to welcome Orquidea (Orquidea Lima) to teach the dance class. Orquidea will bring her expertise as a former LSS Rainha da Bateria and Musa back to the London School of Samba floor.

We are excited to have our Bateria Director Murray leading the bateria class. Murray is a technical percussion master who will guide you in playing authentic samba rhythms on instruments such as the caixa, surdo and repique, as we accompany our dancers.
