Parents and carers, we need you! 📣

If you're raising a child aged 9 to 17, you know how hard it can be to talk about what happens online. We're working with the DRAGON team to create new resources that help families have those conversations, especially about online grooming.
We're looking for parents and carers to join two consultation workshops (October and November 2026) and help shape DRAGON-Shield for Parents/Caregivers.
In return, you'll get free, exclusive access to research-based training on how groomers communicate with children online, plus support from the DRAGON team.

You might have seen news that tech companies could be exempt from the coming social media ban for under-16s if they make their platforms safe for children.

We welcome this. It puts the responsibility where it belongs, with the companies that build these apps.

The ban is expected to start in early 2027. Between now and then, the most powerful thing you can do is keep talking. Ask your child what apps and games they use, who they chat to, and let them know they can always come to you without getting in trouble.

A ban won't cover everything, and some children will find ways around it. An open conversation at home covers a lot more.

At today’s West Sussex County Council Junior Citizens event at The Hawth Theatre, Ifield Community College students presented to over 100 Year 6 pupils on critical online safety skills, focusing on identifying AI-generated content and detecting fake news.

Tom is taking on the Frankfurt Marathon this October to raise funds for the Breck Foundation!

He is lacing up his running shoes once again. His goals are simple: finish 26.2 miles, raise vital funds for our work, and hopefully still be able to walk down stairs the next day. We are so grateful to Tom for pushing his limits to support our mission in memory of Breck.
