For young people to thrive, opportunity needs to go beyond access to training. It means building the skills, confidence and pathways that enable them to move towards meaningful and sustainable livelihoods.

Through our partnership with BT and Magic Bus, we are supporting young people from underserved communities with life skills, employability skills and opportunities to transition into employment.

Stories like this are a reminder of what becomes possible when young people have the right skills, support and opportunities to realise their aspirations.

This South Asian Heritage Month , we celebrate the power of unity in diversity.
Nearly 20 years ago, The British Asian Trust was founded on a simple but powerful belief: that by bringing together the South Asian diaspora around a shared purpose, we could achieve more together than we ever could alone.

Since then, leaders, partners, supporters and communities have come together to help reach more than 18.8 million people across South Asia.

Today, that same spirit of collaboration and collective responsibility continues to bring together people from different backgrounds, sectors and experiences, united by a shared commitment to creating lasting change.
This month is a celebration not only of our heritage and identity, but of what becomes possible when communities come together with purpose.

We’re honoured to receive the “A Decade of Contribution to Social Impact” award from the India Global Forum

This recognition reflects more than a decade of working alongside our partners,supporters, governments, businesses and communities to tackle some of India’s most pressing social challenges.

Together, we’ve reached over 18.8 million people across South Asia and in India through programmes transforming education, improving livelihoods, protecting children and conserving nature.

As our CEO, Hitan Mehta OBE, said: “This award is a testament to the power of partnership, innovation and collective action. Together, we have created opportunities and improved outcomes for millions of people
across India.”
