What does peacebuilding look like over time? 🤝

In Cyprus, a context shaped by long-standing division, education is creating space for something different.

Since 2019, the EU Scholarship Programme for Cypriot Youth at UWC has brought together young people from Greek Cypriot and Turkish Cypriot communities to live and learn side by side.

More than 600 young people have taken part in (at least) one shared experience:
- scholarships to study at UWC
- short courses
- workshops

Because reconciliation is not only negotiated.
It is lived, over time, through relationships, understanding and shared responsibility.

Applications for the United World Colleges Global Selection Programme are now open!

Imagine studying the International Baccalaureate (IB) alongside students from 150+ countries, living and learning together at one of UWC's 18 global schools. UWC is a movement that believes education can be a force to unite people, nations and cultures for peace and a sustainable future.

There isn't one "typical" UWC student - but if you're curious about the world, eager to challenge yourself, and excited to learn from people with different perspectives, you could be a great fit.

Not sure which application route is right for you?

🌎Global Selection Programme (GSP)
Apply directly if you can fund the full cost of attendance. You'll receive early admissions decisions and can apply to the UWC school(s) of your choice.

🤝National committees (NCs)
Apply through your country's NC if you're seeking financial assistance. NCs offer needs-based financial support, although application dates vary and not all are currently open.

🌐No national committee?
If your country or territory doesn't have an active NC, you may still be eligible to apply through the International Application Pathway.
