Young Lewisham Project The YLP is a registered charity, providing young people, aged 11-19, with alternative education!

The Young Lewisham Project offers a wide range of supportive, alternative educational programmes for young people aged between 11 and 19 years (up to 25 for SEN students)

Currently 8 programmes take place each week on site, along with occasional off site and activities. We work with approximately 100 young people each year, referred by partner agencies and schools. Programmes offer external accre

ditation with either:
Open College Network (OCN) and Functional Skills

Our weekly programmes Include:
Motorbike Maintenance
Music
Digital Media
Woodwork
Bicycle repair and maintenance
Gardening
Cooking
Maths and English Functional Skills

🍎🥕 WE’VE MADE IT TO THE TESCO VOTE! 🥕🍎

We’re excited to share some amazing news — Young Lewisham Project’s Grub Club has been selected for the Tesco Fruit and Veg Grants Programme and will now go forward to a customer vote in Tesco stores! 🎉

Our Grub Club helps young people learn how to cook healthy homemade meals, build confidence in the kitchen, develop valuable life skills, and gain an OCN accreditation along the way. 👩🏽‍🍳👨🏾‍🍳✨

Now we need YOUR support! 💚

From Monday 3rd August 2026 until the end of November 2026, Tesco customers can vote for our project using the voting units in these local stores:

🌱✨ Growing skills, confidence, and community! ✨🌱

Thanks to a £20,000 The National Lottery Community Fund grant, our young people are developing practical gardening and construction skills while making a real difference in the local community.

These photos show them building a beautiful seating area and planter for in Brockley. From measuring and building to planting and teamwork, they've gained valuable experience while creating a space that everyone can enjoy. 💚

We're incredibly grateful for the National Lottery funding, which is helping young people learn new skills, build confidence, and leave a lasting, positive impact on their community.
