Are you an existing councillor or been recently appointed? Are you thinking of becoming a councillor?
If so, and you are finding parts of the role challenging because of a health condition or impairment, this guide is for you.
It has been co-produced with disabled councillors and council officers who are part of the Local Government Disability Champions Network (LGDCN), supported by the Local Government Association (LGA). Together with guides on Access to Work and reasonable adjustments for councillors (a model policy), they make up a toolkit for disabled councillors.
