Right next to Ivatt Way is the allotment where the foxes were filmed for Attenborough's Wild London.

Several meters up the road Matt Maran took his award winning fox photos that later formed the basis of his brilliant book, Fox: Neighbour Villain Icon.

Wonderful green spaces.

It is so important to protect these places, and the wildlife that make them so enjoyable and important to human health and well being.

So it has been devastating to read that someone has been poisoning the animals recently. 5 foxes and a cat have been found poisoned.

It is hard enough protecting our neighbourhoods from council policy, but when the public carry out acts like this it is soul destroying.

A petition from residents trying to save a quiet back street park used by a small school for games, and supported and used by the local community and looked after by a group of volunteers.
The council want to put in a huge floodlit tarmac cage that will be a multi games area. It is not an appropriate space for many reasons including the flood issues on the sites identified, the loss of green space and the effect on residents and parklifr.

It's over 3 years since we began the last fight to save Ivatt Way's Green Space!

It's still standing green and unspoilt. 💚

Residents wrote a powerful White Paper with petitions and an email campaign to MPs and councillors.

I'd say we did good!
