Education is a right, not a privilege. 💜

We are thrilled to share the incredible success of the school enrollment campaign led by the VSO Nepal team.

Taking place across Bardiya, Banke, Dang, and Kapilvastu districts, our dedicated Big Sisters and community volunteers have been walking door-to-door and working alongside teachers and local leaders to ensure no child is left behind.

Thanks to this powerful collaboration with Hempel Foundation, over 150 children, including those who had dropped out or never attended school, are now back in the classroom and ready to learn!

Together, we are not just enrolling students; we are shifting community attitudes toward education for good.

The Government of Rwanda is actively accelerating the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals, with VSO acting as a key partner in this effort since 1998.

VSO's approach blends local, national, and international volunteers to build sustainable skills within communities, and as a result, directly supports Rwanda's national priorities and the SDGs.

Education remains one of these priorities, and VSO volunteers are working actively across all 30 districts – having already partnered with 2,877 government primary schools.

Volunteers are sparking change day in, day out. In this video, we hear from national volunteer Benitte, who shares further insight into the impact of this work.
