A wonderful few days at the Current Advances in Gambling Research summit last week. Some incredible research is taking place around gambling harms and recovery and it was wonderful to hear from so many insightful panels. It was also a great experience for our members to connect with others with lived experience. Overall a fantastic few days. We look forward to next year!

Our member Annie led an important research project regarding developing training material focusing on the links between gambling and suicide to help support public health services and other organisations focusing on suicide prevention.

A deeply impactful few days with those with lived experience. Thank you to everyone who gave up their time to be involved. Your insights and time are invaluable to driving forward change.

The symposium brought together leaders from across public health, research, and policy sectors to explore how gambling related harm can be addressed within a public health framework.

We were grateful to the organisers for recognising the importance of including lived experience voices within these conversations. The insights of those directly affected by gambling harm play a vital role in helping public health leaders understand what meaningful support and good practice looks like in real world settings.

At GamLEARN we not only support individuals going through the CJS due to gambling harm but also those who may be impacted around them.
