Death is certain, but the practical realities that come with it are often left unspoken until a family is already grieving.

Knowing who to call, discussing burial wishes, understanding the basics of ghusl, kafan, janazah and burial, and keeping important information accessible can make an overwhelming moment a little easier to navigate.

Preparation does not remove grief — but it can reduce confusion, uncertainty and difficult decisions for those we leave behind.

Through Rescue Orphans, we work to support orphaned children within their own families and communities wherever possible — helping them remain connected to the people and places they know.

Because childhood needs more than survival. It needs safety, stability, space to learn and room to grow.

What does £3,500 build?

Through Rescue Orphans, it can fund a new home for an orphaned family in Bangladesh — but the impact reaches far beyond bricks and walls.

A secure living space.
An internal bathroom.
A kitchen.
And, where possible, access to clean water through a tube well.

Built with rural life in mind, these homes can also include elevated foundations to offer greater protection from flooding.

A small home can become a place to sleep, study, gather, play and feel safe.

Through Rescue Orphans, support is not only about meeting immediate needs. It is about helping children grow with greater stability, opportunity and the skills needed to build more secure futures.

From practical knowledge to trade skills, the aim is to help young people move towards independence while remaining rooted in their communities.
