Mid Argyll Youth Development Services The Mid Argyll Youth Development Services offers educational and recreational services to young people throughout Mid Argyll.

MAYDS works with young people 0-25. Offering a number of services including, training, support, youth clubs, drop-ins, cyber cafe, meeting rooms, trips, community cinema & much more. We work with a wide range of young people including, young carers, young parents, young people with disabilities, young people looking to engage in fun activities or access training courses. Staff and volunteers are dedicated to giving the best service possible and are trained to the highest standard.

Jad, a young person who attends MAYDS youth sessions, has worked hard to organise a project to invite the community to watch the Solar Eclipse from Lochgilphead Front Green.
Jad has created posters, delivered them to local businesses and notice boards. He has also arranged to have a limited supply of suitable glasses to enable members of the public to participate in watching the eclipse, as well as organising a small supply of themed snacks.
