🥃🍺 Wh**ky & b**r tasting anyone?

A wee extra we’ve got at the B**r Festival today kindly donated to us by Wee Wh**ky Shop.

We’ve got wh**ky from Lindores Abbey, Falkirk Distillery and The Borders Distillery, with suggested b**r pairings to try alongside them.

Use 1 pint from your b**r card and you’ll get a 20ml nip of wh**ky paired with a 1/3 pint of b**r.

Or, if you’re more interested in the wh**ky than the b**r, you can have a nip on its own for 2/3 of a pint from your card.

No separate tasting session or booking needed, just come up and give it a go.

🍻 IT’S B**R FESTIVAL DAY! 🍻

We open at 12 today, so here’s everything you need to know before you head down to the Linlithgow Round Table B**r Festival.

When is it?
Today! We’re open from 12pm until 11pm.
We’re having a wee soft opening from 12–1pm, with entry reduced to £3 for the first hour. After 1pm it’s the usual £5.

Do I need a ticket?
Nope, there are no advance tickets. Just turn up and pay on the door. We take cash and card.

How does the b**r work? 🍺
B**r cards are £15 for 3 pints, with the b**rs served in thirds. So you can try your way around the bar rather than committing to a full pint of something purely because it had a funny name.

What if I don’t like b**r?
Despite what the name might suggest, you’ll be absolutely fine.
We’ve got C***r, Prosecco, Edinburgh Gin Hugo Spritz, Edinburgh Gin Rhubarb & Ginger, Funkin Strawberry Daiquiri, AU Black Grape, and Smirnoff Vodka & Cola
Strangers brewing have also supplied us with a selection of their b**rs in cans, with New Shoots, Lithgae L***r, plus Clean Slate alcohol-free.

Is there food?
Yep! Tim from The Personal Chef company will be serving nachos and chilli con carne to keep you going.

Where is it?
Linlithgow Burgh Halls, right in the centre of town.

And where does the money go?
The B**r Festival is organised by Linlithgow Round Table, with the money we raise helping us support local charities, groups and good causes throughout the year.

So there you go. 12pm–11pm today, £3 entry before 1pm and £5 after.

We’ve got the b**r. We’ve got the food. We’ve even got drinks for the people who don’t like b**r.

All we need now is some customers!

🍻 ONE MORE SLEEP!

We were down at the Burgh Halls last night getting everything ready for tomorrow’s Linlithgow Round Table B**r Festival 2026.
The bars are built, the kegs are tapped, the b**r is chilling and, after a fair bit of lifting and shifting, we’re just about ready to go.

We’ll be back in tomorrow morning for the finishing touches, but we’ve decided to have a wee soft opening from 12–1pm.

So, if you fancy getting in early, entry is just £3 between 12 and 1, before going back to the usual £5 from 1pm.

You’ll get first pick of the b**rs, and a slightly quieter first hour before it gets busy.

B**rfest isn’t just about the b**r 🍻🎶

We’ve got live music in the main hall throughout the afternoon and evening, with Acoustic Brucie from 4:30pm–7pm followed by Under Cover from 7:15pm–10:15pm.

And if b**r isn’t your thing, there’ll also be prosecco, premixed drinks, c***r, soft drinks and hot food available.

There’ll also be music playing upstairs throughout the day, so both rooms will have their own atmosphere, and the café downstairs will be open to the public too.

Linlithgow Round Table B**r Festival 2026 food sorted 🌶️🧀

One of our own members, Tim from The Personal Chef Company, is taking care of the food this year.

On the menu:

Beef Chilli – £10
with nachos, sour cream, tomato salsa & cheese

Linlithgow Round Table B**r 2026 is back this Saturday!

22 b**rs, 2 c***rs, plus prosecco, cocktails, food and soft drinks, all at Linlithgow Burgh Halls.

🍺 BREWERY ANNOUNCEMENT: Tempest Brewing Co. 🍺

Next up for this year’s Linlithgow Round Table B**r Festival 2026 is Tempest Brewing Co., with two very different keg b**rs joining the lineup.

Modern Helles – 4.1%
A modern take on traditional German Helles l***r, cold fermented with German malts and hops. Expect subtle floral and citrus character over a balanced malt base, with light malt and citrus on the nose, tangerine hop notes, a crisp palate and a clean, refreshing finish.

Vermont Sessions – 4.4%
Tempest’s take on a New England-style session IPA, brewed with Mosaic, Citra and Galaxy hops. Soft, fruity and highly drinkable, with ripe mango, citrus, berry and pine aromas, followed by candied citrus peel, stone fruit and gentle bitterness, finishing soft and juicy.

A great pairing from Tempest, with something crisp and easy-drinking for the l***r fans and something much juicier for the hop lovers.
