Last week’s event was another fun filled evening of learning. Kamran shared his insights into the stoic writings of Marcus Aurelius. His speech was evaluated by James. Our impromptu topics included questions about - a hill you would be prepared to die on, what self warning sign would you display to others, something you were completely wrong about in the past, if you could ban one phrase and what every day task should get an Olympic medal? Our three returning guests all had a go too.

If you need to develop and improve your public speaking, listening, thinking and/or leadership skills, then please do pop along to any of our events. Guests are made most welcome and can attend for free. Our next event is Tue 29th Sep, 7:15pm for a 7:30pm start.

What an AMAZING achievement for Toastmasters Linlithgow! 🎉👏

A huge congratulations to James, who absolutely smashed it at the District 71 competition!

James came FIRST PLACE in not only Table Topics, but also Evaluation Speech Contest 🏆🏆

That means he is now recognised as the top speaker in these categories across Scotland, Ireland, Northern Wales, Northern England, the Midlands, and the East of England — what an incredible achievement! 🌟

Toastmasters is about so much more than public speaking.

Table Topics helps build confidence in impromptu speaking — thinking on your feet and communicating clearly under pressure. Our Evaluation contests develop powerful leadership and communication skills by teaching how to give constructive, supportive, and effective feedback.

These are skills that help in work, leadership, interviews, meetings, and everyday life.

We are so proud of James and everything he has achieved! 💙

Sorry guys, I’ve been a bit behind on our posts lately — and SO much exciting stuff has happened this month! 🎉

This meeting we had a brilliant session packed with fantastic Table Topics, inspiring presentations, and some great laughs along the way. We were also delighted to welcome back returning guests! 🙌

And of course… let’s not forget the ever-important cuppa during the break ☕😊
