We have reviewed the mid-day forecasts, and they are all showing tomorrow being well above a reasonable sailing wind.
Therefore, we have taken the decision to postpone the dinghy races.
These will be rescheduled for another day, hopefully in the next couple of weeks.

Sailing programme for Lerwick Regatta this weekend.
Dinghies on Saturday
Mirrors and Picos on Sunday.
We hope to have Maids on a following Saturday shortly.

In addition, the Inter-Club rowing races will be held on Friday evening, starting at 6.30pm

The Shetland Race has started today, with the boats making good progress towards Lerwick Boating Club.
Expect first boat in Thursday afternoon.
Everyone can follow the exact positions through the Yellow brick tracker app.
As expected, the 2 quickest boats in the fleet - Enderpearl and Haspa Hamburg - have taken an early lead, and will likely be the first boats in Lerwick tomorrow. Which one will win the Blue Ribbon though?
There is a Shetland boat in the race - Swiftwind, helmed by James Anderson, with club members Roger Goudie and Richard Fraser onboard. We wish them a safe trip, and look forward to greeting them on the finish line.
