The thought of a little child waking up with nothing on Christmas morning is heartbreaking. And let’s not pretend it doesn’t happen — because it does. Too often it’s swept under the rug with the mindset of “as long as my family is okay.”
The harsh reality is that some children are born into situations they have no control over and no say in. Some circumstances are so severe they don’t even cross our minds — yet they are someone else’s everyday life.
Just because many of us are doing okay doesn’t mean everyone is. Some families are living week to week, stretching food and essentials just to survive. A pair of Nike trainers in JD could literally fund 30 presents. Just take a moment to think about that.
Go out into the world and make a difference. Be the change. Help others and do it without hesitation — because that small act could be the one that changes someone’s life.
