Sustainable food for body and soul

Thanks to the generosity of so many people and organisations, our supplies and funds for the emergency bags that we provide, have been boosted.
Harvest offerings mean we can continue to provide food and household items like toothpaste, to people in our community who are in immediate need or who find themselves in difficult circumstances.

We are very grateful and thankful for the kind donations you have given to Ashton Pantry.

We are extremely grateful to the 8 new Lidl Graduates who came to the Pantry today.
As well as learning about what we do, they helped out doing lots of jobs, including cleaning the kitchen & pantry.
Donated food was sorted and dated, they made up emergency food parcels and completed stock rotation tasks to ensure our food is shelved & stored in order of the best before date.
After all that work indoors, the rain had stopped and the Graduates were able to start making a dry hedge in our new garden area. Not wanting to waste some wilting sunflowers,🌻 , they used them to decorate the hedge in keeping with Ashton Pantry’s philosophy of ♻️ recycling as much as possible 😁
Thank you ☺️

In July, we have given out nearly 40 bags of food and household items to families and individuals in need of a little extra help.
This has only been possible because of your generous donations to this aspect of Ashton Pantry’s work.
As you can imagine, our stocks are now depleted.
If you are in a position to help us to restock our emergency food parcel supplies, we would welcome donations of tea, coffee, sweet biscuits and tinned fruit, custard, carrots and sweetcorn which will enable us to continue this important service.
Please bring your donations to one of the Leaders at the Pantry or leave them in St Thomas’ church at the back, marked “emergency parcels”
Thank you ☺️
