Had a visit from Wigan Councils biodiversity officer today at Jubilee Park to advise what works need doing and to see the rich biodiversity we have in our Park!

A sunny day down ‘park

Sadly we have lost 3 fruit trees over the past few days. It looks like two have been pulled out and the third has been snapped off.

These trees come at great expense to the tax payer and are for the benefit of us all once fully grown to enjoy, and also a benefit right now to wildlife.

Another sunny day ☀️ edging the pathways at Jubilee Park - Matt and Lee also watered the orchard but sadly someone has stolen a fruit tree or two! 😔

We’re going to be down at Greenhill/Jubilee Park, Leigh Road, tomorrow if anyone is available from 10.30am for an hour or 2 Edging pathways.
Come down, say hi and see what we are all about - join us! We will let you know what our vision is for the local area!
If you have tools, then please bring these along , as we don’t currently have these items ourselves.
