An educated girl is empowered to create change.

Every girl deserves the opportunity to learn, dream, and achieve her potential. Education opens doors, builds confidence, and equips girls with the skills to become tomorrow's leaders.

This International Day of the Girl Child, we're standing up for equal access to quality education because investing in girls means investing in stronger communities and a brighter future for everyone.

Educated Girls. Empowered Futures.

It was a packed schedule at the Soroptimists International South Lancashire region meeting, the programme action session began with speaker Babs Bray giving a presentation on the power of positive thinking and her bowel cancer journey. What an inspiration! We came away with ways to use some simple actions for positivity in our everyday lives 💛 BUT - can you catch it?

Can you help the Rosie May Foundation support women and girls affected by the floods in Nepal?
As Nepal moves from rescue to recovery. Women and girls in Belkotgadi, Nuwakot are most at risk of disease from unsafe sanitation. Personal hygiene kits are urgently needed. Your support is vital.
Story
In Belkotgadi Municipality, Nuwakot district, our partner charity SAHAS Nepal has identified an urgent need for women and girls to have access to personal hygiene kits. The recent flash floods have destroyed schools, displaced families and increased the risk of disease. Therefore, access to safe sanitation has become critical.
Around 3,663 girls have been affected and their education disrupted.
We are raising funds to provide personal hygiene kits at £20 each.
Each kit includes:
• Sanitary wear
• Soap
• Cloths
• Underwear
• A reusable bag
Our charity partners, SAHAS Nepal, are already working on the ground and will distribute these directly to women and girls.
Your support is vital.
Please donate to our Nepal appeal and help us deliver dignity to women and girls.

Today is Stand Up To Cancer Day. 🎗️

Standing up to cancer also means standing up for prevention.

Cervical cancer is one of the cancers we can take action to help prevent. HPV vaccination and regular cervical screening are two of the most effective ways to reduce the risk of cervical cancer.

As Soroptimists, we’re committed to raising awareness of cervical cancer prevention and helping women and girls access the information, vaccination and screening they need.

Know the facts. Take action. Help prevent cervical cancer.
