Last week we had our very first Holbeck Together: Green Champions session💚

We shared ideas about how we can make Holbeck greener and talked about the skills and talents we can bring to the group. We then went for a refreshing walk around the local area, spotting places we could improve, before enjoying lunch and planning our first project. 🌱🚶‍♀️🍽️

The group have decided to start by cleaning up streets around Ingram Road Primary, helping make the area look tidy and welcoming for the school run next week! 🗑️✨

TEAMWORK THAT MAKES A DIFFERENCE! 💙🌿

Earlier this week, Holbeck Together teamed up with corporate volunteers from Groundforce to give one of our client’s gardens a much-needed transformation.

Once loved and cared for, the garden had become hugely overgrown due to our client been unable to tend to the garden for some time. You could barely see what was there!

But with teamwork, energy and a lot of hard work, the team uncovered a greenhouse, a garden bench and a space ready to be enjoyed again. 🌱🙌🦋

The front garden is now welcoming, safer and looking loved again. 💙

This is what happens when we come together — a few hours of teamwork can make a huge difference to someone’s life.

A massive thank you to the Groundforce team for getting stuck in and making it happen! 👏

Together, we can make a difference. 💙

What an AMAZING afternoon we had at our Buffet Lunch with Live Entertainment from the one and only Tony Lee 🕺🎷

Over 40 local people (with a visit from our friends at Hillside💙) came together for a dance and singalong with a tasty buffet lunch🥘

This , we're teaming up with Active Leeds, Being You Leeds and Pontefract Racecourse for a Community Awareness Walk around Holbeck and Cross Flatts Park, coming together to show that no one has to face things alone🌳💙

We'll walk together around the local community before heading back to St Matthews Community Centre for refreshments; a chance to chat with local people, and an opportunity to find out about support and advice available locally🧠

Whether you want to walk, talk, listen or simply take part. Everyone is welcome🤝
