The Links Centre 2030

The Links Centre 2030 We see Youth Training as the vehicle to improve the environment around us.

The Links Centre 2030 (TLC2030) aims to instil realisable aspiration in the young through training and support to create a more fulfilling and successful life for families and friends, to enhance a sense of community and neighbourhood. Initially focusing on Leatherhead, The Links Centre 2030 (TLC2030) aims to instil realisable aspiration in the young through training and support to create a more f

ulfilling and successful life for families and friends, to enhance a sense of community and neighbourhood.

As a not-for-profit operation, TLC2030 works in an integrated and inclusive way, linking with other aligned organisations to achieve its goals in the communities in which it operates.

This decade is the opportunity to make significant positive change to our locality. Founded by experienced business leaders, TLC2030 deliver positive community outcomes through directly managed social projects and the commissioning of other charities and public organisations. Initially operating in the Mole Valley area of Surrey and based in Leatherhead, we have an ambition to scale to work nationally and internationally, with activities open to all regardless of age, gender, ethnicity and social background.

Next steps for young people

On Tuesday 10 March 2026, Eddie and Bill were invited to join a number of local organisations and their leaders in reviewing the achievements of the High Sheriff's initiatives over his past year of office, particularly regarding those not in education, employment or training (NEETs), at a seminar held at Surrey University.

Whilst the level of awareness of the challenge for such young adults has grown, both nationally and locally, as a result of the combined efforts of ourselves in partnership with the High Sheriff, the numbers remain high - nearly a million across the UK (13% of young adults) with equivalent numbers mirrored in areas such as North Leatherhead.

We remain committed to developing pathways to attract low achieving young adults into vocational training and work experiences leading to full time employment locally We are working with senior business partners, local government, schools and training delivery organisations, and the coming year's new High Sheriff and Lord Lieutenancy incumbents to achieve this.

Watch out for our latest news about other recent and forthcoming events - the momentum is building!

This week, we carried out a strategic review of progress to date and to shape priorities for the next phase of work. This review comes at the midpoint of our NOW, SOON and LATER roadmap from 2021 to 2030 and focused on three interrelated areas:

1. Awareness and place-based impact

2. Early intervention and lifelong development

3. Enabling delivery at scale

We'll now develop new plans and ambitions drawing on expertise from our Senior Advisors and deepening collaboration with the businesses, schools and civic institutions where our reputation and influence are now well established.
