Two more Ambulances Have Arrived Safely in Poland! 🇵🇱

We are delighted to share that our latest ambulance convoy has safely arrived in Leżajsk, Poland, where our volunteer drivers met with Ukrainian volunteers who took over the ambulances and immediately continued their journey to Ukraine.

Another successful handover and another important step in getting these life-saving vehicles to where they are needed most.

A huge thank you to our wonderful volunteer drivers, who gave their time to make this journey possible:

🚑 Chris and Frankie Thomasfrom Leamington Music

🚑 Pal Sanghera, Vice Lord-Lieutenant of Warwickshire

🚑 David Kelham DL, Deputy Lieutenant of Warwickshire

We are incredibly grateful for their time, dedication and willingness to travel across Europe to support people affected by the war.

This convoy was made possible thanks to the generous support of our sponsors:

Leamington Music

Gursewak Trust

Warwickshire Freemasons

We would also like to thank our dedicated Belveder volunteers, who work behind the scenes preparing the ambulances, collecting donations, sorting medical supplies and making sure everything is ready for each journey.

Our thanks also go to Cardiff for Ukraine and Ukrainian Medical Charity for their continued partnership and support.

Every ambulance we deliver is a result of people coming together, giving their time, sharing resources and refusing to forget those who still desperately need our help.

Although our drivers have completed their journey, the ambulances are now continuing theirs into Ukraine, where they will help save lives.

Help us keep these ambulances moving!

Your support enables us to continue delivering ambulances and essential humanitarian aid to Ukraine.

Since the start of 2026, Warwickshire Freemasons have donated £10,000 towards ambulances purchased by Belveder for Ukraine.

Each ambulance takes much more than a purchase. Our volunteers find suitable vehicles, prepare them, organise donated supplies and arrange the journey to Ukraine. Together, we have now delivered around 70 ambulances. Every journey depends on people giving their time, skills and support.

Thank you for trusting us with this work and for supporting the volunteers who make these journeys possible. Your generosity helps us get ambulances to people who need them.

For the teams using them in Ukraine, these are working vehicles that help them reach people and provide urgent care. Your £10,000 is a substantial contribution to that work, and we want you to know how much we value the trust you have placed in us.

We are grateful to everyone at Warwickshire Freemasons for standing with us.

A 70th birthday, our 70th ambulance, and a gift that could save lives! 💙💛

Our wonderful friends at Kenilworth Lions have now funded another two ambulances for Belveder’s humanitarian missions to Ukraine. But there is another very special story to share.

For her 70th birthday, Sharon Maxted asked her husband Dave for something very different from the usual presents — an ambulance for Ukraine!

Dave made her wish come true, and Sharon joined him on the journey across Europe to deliver it. In a wonderful coincidence, it became Belveder’s 70th ambulance!

What began as a birthday gift for Sharon could become the gift of life for someone in Ukraine. Somewhere, one day, this ambulance may help save a life, reunite a family or give someone another chance at a future. What greater gift could there be?

A heartfelt thank you to Kenilworth Lions President Lis Stevens and volunteer drivers Ivan Pointon, Dave Maxted, Jeff Craddock, Richard Pacey, Sharon Maxted and Councillor Adrian Barton. For Ivan, this was his fifth ambulance journey!

We are also grateful to Soroptimist International Kenilworth and District, who helped collect much-needed warm clothing.

During their journey, the team also met Sister Teresa in Leżajsk, Poland. Sister Teresa works tirelessly to support more than 200 children from families displaced from areas affected by the war in Ukraine.

She asked us to pass on her heartfelt thanks to every single donor for the generous support and essential humanitarian aid received. Your kindness is making a real difference to children and families who have lost so much.

Together with our supporters and volunteers, we have now coordinated 70 ambulances and more than 300 tonnes of humanitarian aid for Ukraine.

And a very special thank you to every single volunteer who makes our work possible. From collecting and sorting donations to preparing and loading ambulances, organising transport and driving thousands of miles — every contribution matters. So much of this work happens quietly, behind the scenes, but without your dedication, generosity and countless hours of hard work, none of this would be possible. These achievements belong to all of you. ❤️

You can help us deliver the next ambulance.

Every donation, large or small, brings us closer to providing another vehicle that could save lives.

This is what community kindness can achieve. Thank you to everyone who makes these journeys possible.

A huge thank you to the wonderful volunteers at Cardiff for Ukraine.

On Sunday, 18th October, Nigel travelled to Cardiff and once again collected a full ambulance load of donations gathered by their volunteers.

Nigel makes this journey at least twice a month, and often more, helping to keep this chain moving.

The donations will now be sorted by volunteers from Ukrainian Medical Charity and prepared for the next stage of their journey.

This is our chain of kindness. One group collects, another transports, another sorts, and together we make sure the aid reaches people who need it.

Thank you to Cardiff for Ukraine, Nigel and Ukrainian Medical Charity for making this possible.

Belveder at the launch of Warwickshire Food Together!

On 28th September, Belveder CIC was represented by Dr Stas Librowski and Alex Willson at the launch of the "Warwickshire Food Plan 2026–2028", held at the historic Old Shire Hall in Warwick.

The event brought together local authorities, charities and community organisations to explore how we can work together to improve access to affordable, healthy food and support people facing hardship across Warwickshire.

At Belveder, we know how important this work is. Through our Warm Hub, community Sunday lunches and Warm & Well at Home programme, we have been supporting local residents, helping to reduce isolation and providing practical assistance to those who need it.

It was a valuable opportunity to connect with other organisations, share experiences and explore opportunities for future collaboration.

A big thank you to Warwickshire County Council and everyone involved in organising the event.

Together, we can build stronger, more connected communities.
