On Monday 8 June, we welcomed volunteers from across Warwick District to an afternoon tea at the beautiful Hill Close Gardens.
In the days leading up to the event, we kept one eye firmly on the weather forecast and another on our contingency plans, but thankfully our concerns were unfounded. Instead of rain, we were treated to glorious sunshine, creating the perfect backdrop for an afternoon of celebration.
Around 60 volunteers representing a wide range of community groups and organisations were invited to join us to recognise the incredible contribution volunteers make across Warwick District. Guests enjoyed refreshments, had the opportunity to explore the charming Hill Close Gardens in Warwick, and most importantly, celebrated the achievements and dedication of local volunteers.
There was also an impressive selection of cakes on offer. While opinions vary on whether it is possible to have too much cake, we may have come close to finding out! The little Robin who joined us certainly enjoyed some cake crumbs.
The event would not have been possible without the generous support of our sponsors. A huge thank you to Associated Telecom, Linkit Advanced Solutions, Warwickshire County Council and Warwick District Council for helping us make the day such a success.
