Until everyone is safe - yes, we're in.

World Refugee Day is this weekend (June 20).
This year, we're reminded by UNHCR that safety is not just the absence of violence. It means legal protection, shelter, health care, education, the right to work, and the chance to rebuild and live in dignity.
No one is safe until the most vulnerable among us are.

When people are forced to flee their homes, we all have a part to play. Protecting refugees helps communities thrive, creates stability and saves lives.

At Education Saves Lives we're proud to stand alongside many refugee-led groups, and provide them with resources to help bring health and hope in some of the world's largest and most longest-standing settings.

Organisations in any other countries are also welcome to use the lessons, but especially Angola, CAR, Ethiopia, Kenya, Tanzania, Zambia and Congo Brazzaville where WHO is monitoring Ebola risk.

You don't need to wait for us to contact you, please get in touch via DM or email [email protected] if simple lessons for safer living will be helpful for your community.

The return of Ebola to DR Congo and the risk of spread to neighbouring countries is very concerning. Ebola is a deadly virus: between 30% and 50% of those infected will die. There are no specific treatments for the disease itself, only the symptoms, and no vaccines, so access to accurate informa...

WORLD VACCINATION WEEK

"Vaccines have long been one of the most powerful tools in public health. Over the past 50 years, vaccines have saved more than 150 million lives – not by accident, but because ordinary people made the decision to protect themselves, their children and their communities from diseases like measles, diphtheria, pertussis, polio, and rotavirus.
Today, newer vaccines against malaria, HPV, cholera, dengue, meningitis, RSV, Ebola, and mpox are saving even more lives, and helping people at every stage of life live longer and healthier thanks to scientific advancements. " Source WHO.

Vaccinations and immunisations will protect your family, community and future generations. You can find out more about why it's important, and how it is safe, through the Education Saves Lives "Immunisation" lesson available online, on DVD and on USB. Request copies from us today - send us a message or apply online.
