The Bright Futures Ball was a very special evening, and we’re incredibly grateful to everyone who helped raise over £83,000 for vulnerable children 💜

More than 300 guests joined us at the CBS Arena in a powerful show of generosity and community spirit.

Every year, this event reminds us what is possible when people come together for a cause that truly matters, and this year was no exception. In every conversation, every donation and every act of support, there was a shared commitment to helping children who need it most.

An incredible £23,000 was pledged on the night by just 64 guests, and thanks to the continued support of local businesses and individuals, the Ball has now raised more than £1.2 million across 19 years.

Thank you to everyone who supported the event and helped make the night possible. Your kindness will have a real impact on the lives of vulnerable children.

A truly world-class auction donation just landed for our Bright Futures Ball… the Bravura Electrostatic Headphone System – valued at nearly £7,000!

We were welcomed to Warwick Acoustics HQ for the official handover of this incredible piece of kit, widely regarded as one of the finest headphone systems in the world.

CWCC Patron Ian Harnett accepted the donation on our behalf and was joined by Dr Mike Grant, CEO of Warwick Acoustics, along with Nigel Owens, Mercia Ventures, a key shareholder and supporter of the business.

Dr Grant spoke about the company’s decision to support CWCC:

“As an organisation, we value and depend on the skills of young people. We’re focused on giving young people in our region as many opportunities to develop their skills as we possibly can, and we see this as very much aligned with the values of CWCC – who are looking to give young people the best possible start in life.”

This marks the beginning of an exciting new partnership with a business that shares our commitment to creating brighter futures for young people across Coventry & Warwickshire 💜

Recently, an incredible team from MTC - Manufacturing Technology Centre completed a scorching 131-mile charity bike ride in support of several local charities, including The CWCC!

Setting off from MTC's Coventry head office at 6:15am, they powered through the heat to arrive at the Liverpool site by 5:15pm - with no mechanical issues or incidents, just the blazing sun to contend with ☀️

In total, they raised £1,648.05, shared equally among five amazing local charities: Clatterbridge Cancer Charity; Claire House; Coventry & Warwickshire Neonatal Unit; The CWCC and Homeless Oxfordshire.

A huge congratulations to the team for this incredible achievement - and an even bigger thank you for including CWCC in your fundraising efforts. Your support helps us continue our work supporting children across Coventry and Warwickshire.

Today is world day against child labour, a reminder that millions of children all over the world, are still being denied their rights to protection from harm.

While child labour is often seen as an issue in faraway places, neglect, and abuse also happen much closer to home.

At CWCC our practitioners work every day to support local children in Coventry and Warwickshire that have been affected by trauma. Many have experienced forms of abuse that rob them of their childhood.

Through counselling and specialist practitioner support, we help rebuild their trust and give them hope for the future.

Whether it’s on our doorstep or the other side of the world, it takes all of us - individuals and communities to make small changes that lead to a big impact.
