Lancaster Roses W.I. Jam and Jerusalem OR Beer and Cake...Brownies for grown ups. Meet at Bowerham School, 3rd Monday of the month, 7.30pm The W.I. is definitely not all about jam!

We are one of Lancashire's newer W.I.s based in Lancaster. We invite women aged 18-100 and more to come along, meet people, learn stuff and basically have fun. We want to be part of the new wave of W.I. where meeting activities can range from self-defence to knitting and burlesque to life-drawing to sushi-making; made for the members and doing what the members want to do. Councillor Roger Dennison Armed Forces Champion will explain the Poppy Appeal Project. Please bring sizes 7.5mm & 10mm knitting needles, large crochet hooks and any red or black DK cheap wool you have. Patterns and supervision will be provided. Extra equipment will be available if you haven't got your own. There will be a raffle so please bring some cash. Tea and coffee available.
