The Making Place

The Making Place The Making Place is where adults living in the Lancaster District, interested in art and craft, can meet together to make things.

We are a small team of volunteers who are managing the arrangements and aim to provide an inclusive, accessible and affordable social outlet. The only requirement for being a member is an enthusiasm for art and craft, a respectful curiosity for how someone else goes about their craft and to be able to work on your project independently. Each session is £4 with tea, freshly brewed coffee and slices of home made cake at 50p each.

Just a reminder that there is no Making Place on Thursday 19th February 2026. We are back at Cornerstone on Thursday 26th February from 10am to 1pm. See you there.

The Making Place resumes on Thursday 8.1.26 at 10.00. Hopefully everyone has had a happy Christmas and looking forward to a New Year. Home baked cakes will be available as usual. Looking forward to seeing you all.

Just a reminder we will not be meeting at Cornerstone on Thursday 26.6.25. We are going to meet at the clock tower in Morecambe at 10.00 with refreshments at the Sanctuary cafe followed by a walk along the promenade.

Just a reminder that this Thursday 22nd May will be our last meeting in May as we are off next week (29th May) as it is half term. We are back after half term on Thursday 5th June.
