Erica kindly donated plugs from her meadow making work, and we planted these too, in the verge. Keep a look out as you walk past. In the spring they should be growing nicely!

The Aughton Oak

An important milestone for biodiversity in Aughton this morning. 14 volunteers from the village planted a hedge around the car park at the hall, and a specimen Oak, with its own name plaque. Thank you everyone, and for bringing the sun out!

Aughton Village Hall was proud to host the Tony Sweeney Memorial Aughton Road Race this morning, organised by Lune Racing Cycling Club. From an early breakaway group photo of the 1st, 2nd and 3rd placed riders below. Congratulations to all finishers!

CYCLE RACE tomorrow at the Hall in the morning. The Hall is open early, serving bacon rolls to race organisers. Spectators welcome, and bacon rolls will be on sale for them too! Also tea/coffee and home made shortbread...
