Kingsteignton Ram Fair

Kingsteignton Ram Fair Legend has it that there was a severe drought with no water for drinking or to baptise a child. A ram was sacrificed at the dry stream bed & water sprang up.

The roasting of a ram became customary, and we carry on this annual tradition at Oakford Lawn.

📣 You're Invited to the Kingsteignton Ram Roasting Fair AGM! 🐏

Our Annual General Meeting will take place on:

📅 Monday 17th August 2026
🕖 7:15pm
📍 The Mary Hall Suite, The Community Hall, Rydon Road, Kingsteignton

The AGM is open to everyone, so whether you've been involved with the Fair for years or are simply interested in finding out more, we'd love to see you there.

The Ram Roasting Fair has been at the heart of our community for generations, and we're always delighted to welcome new volunteers and committee members. Whether you can spare a little time or would like to get more involved behind the scenes, every helping hand makes a real difference.

Come along, meet the team, hear about this year's successes, our plans for 2027, and see how you could be part of keeping this fantastic community tradition thriving.

What an incredible day we had at the 2026 King's Teignton Ram Roasting Fair!

A huge thank you to everyone who attended and helped make this year's fair such a fantastic success. Despite the soaring temperatures, thousands of people joined us to enjoy a wonderful day of community spirit, entertainment, food, music, tradition and fun.

LOST PROPERTY!!
We have quite a lot of lost property from today’s Ram Fair. This includes someone’s bank cards (along with train tickets between Paignton and Newton Abbot).

We are open! We want all our visitors to enjoy the Fair safely. Given the weather today we would advise visitors to wear...

We are open! We want all our visitors to enjoy the Fair safely. Given the weather today we would advise visitors to wear a hat and sunscreen. There are plenty of stalls selling drinks to keep you hydrated. We have dog bowls out near the main gate but it might be best to keep pets at home. There is limited shade available on the Lawn. If you want to avoid the hottest part of the day, we have activities going on until 4.30pm today.
