Kingsteignton Ram Fair

Kingsteignton Ram Fair Legend has it that there was a severe drought with no water for drinking or to baptise a child. A ram was sacrificed at the dry stream bed & water sprang up.

The roasting of a ram became customary, and we carry on this annual tradition at Oakford Lawn.

LOST PROPERTY!!
We have quite a lot of lost property from today’s Ram Fair. This includes someone’s bank cards (along with train tickets between Paignton and Newton Abbot).

We are open! We want all our visitors to enjoy the Fair safely. Given the weather today we would advise visitors to wear a hat and sunscreen. There are plenty of stalls selling drinks to keep you hydrated. We have dog bowls out near the main gate but it might be best to keep pets at home. There is limited shade available on the Lawn. If you want to avoid the hottest part of the day, we have activities going on until 4.30pm today.

We are looking forward to welcoming everyone to the Fair today. Gates open at 11.45am.

As a reminder, there are two access gates to the Lawn:
- Near the Senior Citizens Hall which is accessed from the lane next to Oakford Stationers, opposite the Oakford Club.
- Off Broadway Road - please note that this access has sections without a footpath and is therefore not suitable for young children.

You can pay by cash / card at both entrances: Adults £3, Under 16s are free

(Please note that some stalls may only accept cash)
