Fabulous - from dress to venue, this community is the link 🩵👰🏼🥂

We were beyond delighted that a random meeting, caused by the chain reaction of a bride who sadly passed away two days after her wedding, brought us into contact with Becky and her family. This resulted in a beautiful and heartfelt donation of her mum’s former bridal store samples. Her mum, herself suffering cancer, will now be creating a beautiful gift in both enabling more brides living through adversity to find their dream dress, but also to underpin the many needs of women and girls here in our community. What we love is the daisy chain effect as women step forward to act in ways that make them the next link in the chain of our community. We have exciting activities ahead as a result of this donation and we’re beyond grateful. 🙏🏻

When we say we put on a good spread - we mean a GOOD spread! 🤤 Here we got out the vintage china and cake forks to honour a lady who was retiring after 30 years service to the NHS.

After the tragedy of recently losing her son to su***de, she chose to use her farewell tea to highlight the brilliance of her son and the great service of charities Pete’s Dragon HQ and Man Club Newton Abbot.

River End is where your story comes to life, and becomes a piece of our heritage. 🌊🩵

The intensity of the quiet at the end of packdown after a busy event - when the joy of the day seems to have absorbed into the fabric of this old building and feels like warm whispers. Sometimes we just sit for 5 minutes before taking our tired legs home, and just appreciate. River End is a living history of all that come through her door.

We work with our community through all the ups and downs of life and we firmly believe in celebrating the value of love and friendship. Even when a family are grieving, the ability to celebrate the joy of the life they are saying goodbye to, is hugely important as to how they can step forward in their bereavement with hope, positivity and pride. Nobody should forfeit the best send-off due to finances or having very few people around them in their life. Every booking at River End pays the way for a free booking for someone who would otherwise be overlooked.
Our sincere condolences and love for this family who celebrated their mum, sister, aunt and friend in a way she’d have loved. Proud to be part of it.

What a fantastic and memorable event for the ladies safe space ‘Shake Ya Booty’ event in aid of local people living through their cancer journey. From cowboy boots to sparkly heels and  lounging slippers, anything went! We tried salsa, some vintage 50s groove, and hilariously stomping line Dance, a floor-filling Abbamania freestyle, and a very enthusiastic 80s nostalgia set! With a plentiful jacket spud buffet and the hugest desserts to break any diet for, we were all very contented and full of friendship by the end. Thank you to all the contributors, volunteers, and Guests. We raised £1305 for our local charitable work. 🎉🎉🎉

The bar is coming along! Although we love all celebrations, we’re also looking forward to offering our alcohol free events, for those who don’t want to compromise going ‘out out’ just because they don’t want to, or can’t, be around alcohol.
