💚 Thankful Thursday – Thank You for Your Support! 💚

This week, we want to say a huge thank you to everyone who follows and supports King’s Lynn Foodbank on our social media channels. 🥰

Every like, comment and share really does make a difference!

📲 By sharing our posts, you help us reach more people in our community. This could be someone who would like to support us through food donations, essential items or financial contributions, or someone who is currently receiving support from the foodbank, or who may need our help in the future.

You never know who might see a post, be inspired to help, or discover the support that is available to them.

Together, we can spread the word, bring our community closer and help ensure that people know they are not alone. 💚

Thank you for being part of our foodbank community. Your support, both online and offline, means so much to us!

💚 Foodbank Focus Wednesday – A Little Treat Goes a Long Way! 🍰

This week, we’re shining a spotlight on one of the lovely ways our local community supports King’s Lynn Foodbank.

A huge thank you to Riverbank Bakery in King’s Lynn, who regularly donate cakes for us to include in our food parcels. We are so grateful for their kindness and generosity! 💚

Food parcels provide essential support, but we know that little treats can make a difference too. Whether it’s a slice of cake with a cup of tea in the afternoon or something sweet to enjoy after a meal, everyone deserves a little treat now and again. ☕🍰

It’s wonderful local businesses like who help us go that little bit further in supporting people in our community.

Most Needed Monday - 26th October 2026 💚

There has certainly been a change in the weather, and with the nights drawing in winter is fast approaching.

We know from previous years that we support more people during the winter months so any donations that you can make are much appreciated. Having stocked shelves at the warehouse means that we can provide a nutritionally balanced food parcel to those needing our support.

This week our most needed items are -

🥫 Tinned/packet soup
🥫 Tinned meat
🍝 Pasta
🍅 Tinned tomatoes
🍝 Pasta sauce / curry sauce 💚

Thank you for all your continued support.

If you are unable to donate essential items to us we are very grateful if you can share our posts or invite your friends on social media to follow us so we can share our messages in the community ☺️

Food Bank Focus Wednesday 💚

Today we wanted to share a list of the organisations that we can signpost to, we know that sometimes people need more than emergency food.

We want to let you know that when you collect your food parcel, we can help you find other local organisations and services that may be able to support you 😊

Most Needed Monday 19th October 2026 💚

This week's most needed items for the foodbank are ~

🍚 Rice pudding
🍓 Jam
🍚 Rice
🍑 Tinned fruit
🥛 UHT milk

We provide those in need with a nutrionally balanced 3 day food parcel using the guidance from the Trussell Trust but you may be wondering why we are asking for specific items each Monday?

Parcels are planned to meet basic requirements for calories, protein, carbohydrates, and essential vitamins and minerals for adults and children. The standard contents focus on long-life, shelf-stable items that are easy to store and prepare without specialised equipment.

We can adapt parcels for specific dietary requirements—such as vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, or halal—through volunteer consultation at our distribution centres.

We need to have a wide selection of food availabe to meet all these requirements but also to have plenty of provisions so that we can always meet the need from the community which can fluctuate week on week. Your donations are vital in helping us to be a reliable provision of support and always have food and essential items ready to donate 💚

It was wonderful to be able to welcome staff from both Amberley Hall and Goodwins Care Home at our main Distribution Centre.

They had collected donations from their family members, dedicated team members and the local community. We would be unable to provide the support we do with out such kindness 😊

Foodbank Focus Wednesday 💚

We wanted to send our thanks to Morrison's in the town centre for having a donation point for us and we would struggle without such community partners.

The donation point can be found at the end of the checkouts. Jemma our Warehouse Manager, along with our fabulous volunteer Jane, collect from the store on a Friday morning each week.

We are so grateful to those who shop in Morrison's and donate to the foodbank, whether it is a one-off donation, or you donate regularly with your weekly shop, we can't thank you enough 😊
