TOWEL APPEAL! We are currently running low on towels of all sizes for the wildlife in our care. If you have any old or unwanted towels at home, we would be incredibly grateful if you could donate them to the centre.
There is a yellow donation bin located at the entrance of the centre on the left-hand side for easy drop-off.
Every donation makes a difference and helps us provide the best care possible for our wildlife patients. Thank you for your support! πŸ˜ŠπŸ¦”πŸ¦‰πŸΎ

Hoglet season is well underway and these two little ones have arrived.

What should you do if you uncover a nest of hoglets?

- Carefully cover the nest back up.
- Keep to a safe distance and keep pets away.
-Monitor to see if the mother returns.
- Call your local rescue centre for advice as it all depends on the situation what is the best course of action

Rabbit kits everywhere!

We currently have 16 rabbit kits in the centre or out being fostered and hand-reared by some amazing volunteers. These ones were accidentally dug up during gardening and their mother never returned. They are currently being fed milk 5 times a day.

Please check any area before doing gardening work, rabbit kits are kept underground by their mothers unlike leverets (young hares) who are usually found above ground 🐰

Oh my 😱

Any guessing what nestings we are?

These little ones were found on the ground, potentially their nest had fallen out of the tree, unable to be returned. πŸͺΎ

Story time! Did you know a member of the public brought us 11 partridge eggs after their dog unfortunately killed the hen while she was incubating her clutch. A staff member took them home and incubated them, and 10 hatched! Check the video and we will keep you posted on their progress. They are now back at the centre to be reared. An unfortunate start but a happy ending!

Heartbroken.... πŸ˜” This poor roe fawn was born out of shock when his mother was hit by a car while heavily pregnant and she then gave birth to three fawns in the middle of the road, and then passed. His siblings were both born dead and a kind member of the public found this one barely breathing. They brought it to the centre, and even though our vet team did their best the fawn unfortunately did not make it. Please be careful on our roads, so many animals are breeding and foraging for their families this time of year.
