What impact does a £30 gift have? Does the ammount you spend really matter?!
Can we let each other off the hook, reduce the pressure a bit (financial and mental!)?!
Gift guidance is a great way to do this...
Pop a note on the invite to give some guidance about gifts.
It might be to put a £2 or a fiver in a card for your child to save up for something.
It might be to say pre-loved gufts welcomed.
You might say no gifts or keep it small because we live in a tiny flat.
But remember, if you go round giving extravagant gifts and then DON'T give gift guidance...others might feel like they have to live up to this financial bar (and they may not be able to afford it).
Is this controversial?
What do you think?
