🎭☕ A cuppa, a chat and the power of storytelling!

We were delighted to welcome playwright Neil Jones from the Packing Shed Theatre to The Royal Oak recently!

Neil has been spending time chatting with our companions, staff, volunteers, hub attendees and customers, learning about their life experiences and listening to their stories. 🗣️✨

Alongside gathering inspiration for a future play exploring homelessness and poverty in the 21st century, Neil is also here to lend a helping hand with things like letter and CV writing, storytelling and communication skills. 📝🤝

📅 He'll be visiting us every Thursday for the foreseeable future. so if you're in the area, why not pop in, say hello and join him for a cuppa and a friendly chat? ☕😊 You never know where a conversation might lead!

🤝 Our experienced support team helps residents, hub visitors, volunteers and trainees to set goals, explore employment opportunities, access benefits, manage money, and improve their health and wellbeing.

💚 A BIG thank you to Crane Building Services and Utilities! 🙌✨

We’re delighted to give a huge shout-out to Crane Building Services and Utilities for their generous donation of £3,600 to help transform the patio area at our shop, The Dales!

Our CEO, Tony Chasteauneuf was recently joined by Sarah Thrower from Crane, who presented him with a certificate celebrating this fantastic donation. 🎉👏

☀️ The funding will help us create a beautiful, welcoming outdoor space where local people and visitors to The Dales can come together, relax when the warmer weather returns.

💚 It’s support like this that helps us build stronger connections and create spaces where everyone feels they belong.
