Celebrating an amazing move-on! 🏡

Stephen, a companion from our community is moving this week into his own place after gaining new skills and building his confidence at Emmaus 💚

He wrote our team this lovely card to thank them. At Emmaus we help people with a safe home and the support they need to get back on their feet.

So pleased for Stephen!

"When you're by yourself at home, it's nice to be amongst other people. There’s happy faces. It doesn't matter if you can sing properly, or not."

"It's good for your mental health - definitely!"

"Brilliant! It's uplifting - no doubt about it."

Just some of the amazing feedback we received from the Singing for the Soul - Suffolk group at the Unity Centre Community Hub!

Do you fancy a sing-a-long? Want to meet new people in your area. Come along this Friday 🎶

You're facing a heatwave, you can't find any shade and you've got no water. This is the reality for people sleeping rough during the heat.

People who are homeless in the summer months are more vulnerable to heat related illnesses. If you see someone sleeping rough around Suffolk here's a few things you can do to help them.

Alerting StreetLink can help local services connect people sleeping rough with vital support. Offering cool drinks and sun protection can also help people stay cool and safe. By donating to a charity like ours, you can help provide safe homes and support people out of homelessness for good 💚

Truly incredible latte art produced in another barista training session with Butterworth & Son

Due to the harsh current job market, many of our trainees have been out of work for a while. Our volunteering and traineeship opportunities offer a chance to gain new skills, regain lost confidence and boost their CVs

Our traineeship gives individuals a purpose and a place to belong 💚

Support the work we do by visiting The Royal Oak and ordering a coffee - worth it just for the latte art!

We loved having Will from Butterworth & Son at the Royal Oak this week to give our trainees advanced barista and latte art training.

This was so much fun and really informative for the team - even if we did consume a bit too much caffeine! Our Hospitality Traineeship is all about empowering people and giving them new skills to build towards employment.

Visit the Royal Oak this weekend and try our delicious coffees!
