The ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2026 will officially begin in 50 days!🤩 In anticipation, over 236,000 children across 1,350 schools in the UK are partaking in cricket activities for School’s Cricket Day🏏. This initiative is an opportunity for schools to embed cricket into the curriculum and is the biggest single-day of participation in children’s cricket ever in the UK! Today, students will be inspired to get involved with the sport and the upcoming World Cup 🏆through a blend of cricket activities and tournament education. The countdown has begun⏳! Chaired by our founder, Isa Guha, the group includes current and former professional players Abtaha Maqsood and Sonia Odedra, alongside leading voices in performance, selection, cultural insight, nutrition, psychology, and research.

This initiative is all about shaping a more inclusive and informed future for the game 💫

Last weekend, Take Her Lead hosted a panel on ‘The Power of Female Role Models in Sport’, 💪🏏which was a part of Metro Bank’s Girls in Cricket Fund, Leading the Future of Women’s Cricket Conference in Nottingham!

Helen takes us through her experience of being on the panel and what she got up to during the weekend, which was made possible by winning the MCC Young Female Broadcaster competition last summer🤩
