Karibu Karibu provides information, advice, support, and counselling to individuals and families from diverse and minority backgrounds.

We promote awareness of ethnic, cultural, and religious diversity in organisations and the wider community. Karibu African Support Group is a community-led organization that supports African individuals and families across Suffolk young people, adults, and elders alike. Our name, “Karibu”, means “welcome” and that spirit guides everything we do. We are a space for connection, belonging, and empowe

rment. Through cultural events, education, advocacy, and wellbeing initiatives, we help people feel seen, supported, and valued no matter where they come from or what challenges they face. Our mission is to uplift African voices, celebrate heritage, and create opportunities for growth and inclusion. Whether you're new to Suffolk or have been here for years, Karibu is a place where you can find community, share your story, and thrive.
