Children explored water and ice in the sensory tray and planted seeds at playgroup today. Some babies escaped their hot homes to play alongside eachother too. We'll have more planting, growing and measuring fun next week, and hopefully cooler temperatures!

We'll try our best to keep cool tomorrow.
🪟 The room will have windows opened by 7:30am to let hot air leave the room. We'll close all doors and windows if the air outside becomes hotter than it is inside or if they have direct sunlight on them.
🌡️ We'll have the fan on if it helps, only turns lights on if necessary, and use a thermometer to monitor the temperature.
💦 We'll also have a large shallow water-play tray and some ice / cold water and cold paint in zipped up freezer bags with towels available.
🚪 You're welcome to come in a bit earlier than 9:30 to get out of the sun, as long as you don't mind that we will be setting up.
🌱 As planned, we'll have soil, seeds and a mini gardener's set for our planting activity too, which you can take home in a recycled yoghurt pot!

Happy Father's Day! We hope the dads and uncles like the cards made for them at playgroup this week! Join us Thursday to plant a seed to take home! As always, we also have our usual baby, toddler and pre-schooler areas set up, and seating and refreshments too. See you there!

We saw some beautiful cards and pictures created for this Sunday. Join us next week for more casual free-play, socialisation and snacks. Plus, your little one can plant a seed to take home! (25th June)
We'll be doing lots of measuring on 2nd July - measuring heights and footprint and handprint sizes.
Then we'll have some beach and holiday themed activities the following week on 9th July.
For our final week, 16th July, we'll have an end of year party to celebrate our first year of this playgroup!
We'll then be closed for the summer holidays and will return from 10th September.
We also have a questionnaire available at the playgroup for your feedback to share with our trustees and to inform our planning for our second year.

Join us tomorrow to make cards for Father's Day! Your little one can decorate a card (or have their hand or foot printed) for someone special to them this Sunday. We'll also have our usual areas set up for babies, toddlers and pre-schoolers, plus comfy seating and the refreshments bar. See you then!

Each week we have a special theme to enhance our casual free-play set-up, where babies and children can play in a safe and welcoming environment.

🌹 Join us for some more summer fun this Thursday!
🏆 Next week, we'll have a Father's Day card craft table.
🌱 The following week, we'll have some seeds and soil for your little one to plant and take home.
👐 Then, we'll be measuring our heights, handprints, footprints and more.
🏖️ We'll pretend to go on a seaside holiday for our penultimate session.
🥳 Finally, we'll have an end of year PARTY to celebrate the end of our wonderful first year!
