A local charity assisting our older community to live a self-sufficient life for as long as possible.

At Age UK Hythe, Lyminge, and Ashford, we are dedicated to enhancing the lives of older people in our community, including those living with dementia and their carers. Through a range of wellbeing activities, dementia-specific services, and tailored support, we strive to combat loneliness, promote independence, and ensure everyone feels valued and connected. Our passionate team provides practical advice, organizes engaging events, and offers reliable transport to help older adults and their carers access the support they need. Whether it’s through social activities, dementia-friendly programs, exercise classes, or one-on-one assistance, we are here to make later life a fulfilling and joyful experience for all.

Sessions take place every second Monday of the month, from 10:00am–1:00pm.

🍽️ COMMUNITY MEALS – WEEK COMMENCING 2ND NOVEMBER 💙

Another delicious week of freshly prepared meals is coming up from Age UK Hythe, Lyminge & Ashford.

Our Community Meal Service provides a freshly prepared two-course hot lunch, together with a friendly welfare check from our caring staff and volunteers.

It’s more than just a meal — it’s a reassuring visit, a friendly face and valuable support to help older people remain independent in their own homes.

This week’s menu includes:
🥧 Monday: Cheese & Onion Pie, Mash & Seasonal Vegetables
🍳 Tuesday: Sausages, Bacon, Beans, Sauté Potatoes, Mushrooms & Tomatoes
🥩 Wednesday: Roast Beef, Yorkshire Pudding, Roast Potatoes & Seasonal Vegetables
🍗 Thursday: Chicken Breast Wrapped in Bacon, Potato Wedges & Seasonal Vegetables
🥘 Friday: Minted Lamb Stew, New Potatoes & Seasonal Vegetables
🥧 Saturday: Beef Cobbler, Mash & Seasonal Vegetables
🍖 Sunday: Roast Pork, Roast Potatoes, Apple Sauce & Seasonal Vegetables

🍰 Every meal includes a delicious dessert, with low sugar options available throughout the week.

💷 A freshly prepared two-course hot lunch is £9.50, with an optional tea-time pack available for £7.50*.

Caring for someone living with dementia can sometimes feel overwhelming, but you don’t have to do it alone.

Our Carers’ Support Circle offers a welcoming and relaxed space to talk, share experiences and connect with other people who understand.

Do you need dementia advice, information or support for yourself or someone close to you?

Our Dementia Drop-In Clinic is a welcoming session for people living with dementia, their carers, and anyone with questions or concerns about a family member, friend or spouse.
