I have been a Trustee for five years now and then part of the team of Visitors. I draw on my experience of 61 years of nursing with an extensive knowledge of the problems of the local community. There are many patients out there in need of the Charity’s services, but not all are aware.

Angela has lived in the Hythe area for 35 years, and has held senior finance posts in the charity sector for over 25 years, working in national healthcare and community charities. She is currently Director of Finance and Governance at Kent Community Foundation, a grant making charity. She aims to add her skills and experience to our Board of trustees, supporting the much-needed role of St Saviours Medical Charity in our local community.

I have served as a Trustee for about 25 years, joining the charity shortly after retiring as a cross-Channel ferry captain. At the time, I wanted to use my spare time in a meaningful way and recognised St. Saviour's as a worthwhile charity, helping local people with medical needs and making a life-changing difference for them. I have lived in Hythe for more than five decades, raised a family here, and been actively involved in the community through organisations including the Chamber of Commerce & Tourism, Seabrook School as a governor, Hythe Against Crime as company secretary, the parish and district councils, Mayor of the town, and Hythe Methodist Church as treasurer. Over the years, I have held several roles at St. Saviour's Charity, including serving on the finance and complaints committees, acting as a visitor, and spending a period as Vice-Chairman.
