Time for a little update on what we have in store at Hickling Scarecrow Festival this year!

This year the Scarecrow theme is H is for Hickling.... which means that all the scarecrows will be something beginning with the letter H associated with Hickling.
Things to look out for
• Fly past times available a little nearer the date
• Saturday dog show
• Sunday Guide Dog demonstrations
• Sunday Mayor judging the scarecrows
• Street Stalls both days including hook a duck, face painting and candy floss
• Street Entertainment – stilt walkers, magician, clog dancers, music, Vintage military vehicle display including half track (hopefully)
• Wonderful cakes, Samosas, tea and coffee at the village hall and church plus
• lots, lots more besides.

• Parking - The entrance fee is unchanged, just £5 per car.
We have 3 designated car parks on the edge of the village with disabled
provision a there is no on street parking during the event.
Coaches are welcome, but please let us know in advance

We are supporting two main charities this year plus our local village charities. Our chosen charities always have a particular significance for the village and residents.
CoppaFeel!
is a breast cancer charity who are specifically aimed at younger people, providing support and education for teenagers and young adults.
Maggie's Nottingham,
based at the City hospital in Nottingham provides emotional and practical support to anybody going through cancer as well as offering support to their family.

Last year’s nominated Charity was Blood Bikes. With the money raised by Hickling Scarecrows they were able to purchase a new Blood Bike which they called the
Hickling Scarecrow.
